sokalsondha
Hello Hope everyone doing well. I am facing a big issue as i know lot of people in this commmunity face the same Basically in whmcs there is no option to create credit note. I charged a customer wrong invoice amount and now we need to issue a credit note for this customer. I only can create an invoice with minus(-) amount by manually creating invoice. this okay as its adjusting the sales tax liablity but the invoice remain unpaid we cant add payment on this (-) minus amount invoice. can someone help please how they sort out the credit note within whmcs thanks
DennisHermannsen
We create them outside of WHMCS. WHMCS just doesn't support it. It can be done with a custom module, though.
sokalsondha
But then how you adjust the customer balance? Thanks
DennisHermannsen
We don't. There's multiple flaws in WHMCS that prevents us from using it as a reliable billing software. We use WHMCS for product management and invoice creation - and even decimals on invoices are rounded incorrectly. I notified WHMCS about that issue many years ago, and they actually said they were aware and that it was by design.
