Support & Download Licensing Addon

Hi everyone, I have the licensing addon and have correctly configured a support & download addon to be included free for first year with license purchase. The support addon is an annual recurring, and when the main product is purchased, the addon is added as expected, with the next due date of 1 year hence.

 

My problem is this: when the due date for the addon renewal arrives, the addon is charged to the customer CC on file. I don't want the addon to automatically charge I just want an invoice to go out and, if the client doesnt pay for the addon to suspend/terminate.

 

My clients must have CC on file for other recurring services, but I just need the addon to generate invoice, payment reminders and then shut off if unpaid.

 

Can this be done?

Hi,

You could disable auto-credit card charging client-wide via their Profile tab.

 

Regrettably there isn't currently an option to have WHMCS generate an invoice but not attempt to capture their card for a specific service/addon. However we welcome suggestions for new features at http://requests.whmcs.com
