Of course it is a nightmare WHMCS system updates.

Above in recent times and it upgrades or complete packages but, which with customizations (required because of the bad translations, some tips that spending the years remain uncorrected, etc.), do very heavy work of renovation.

On the other hand I agree with the complaints of the people on this subject, that in a few months is several actualzaciones, and a few days to another one last, it is clear that there is a serious problem of testing that end users pay.

A greeting.

Howdy,

Language files should never be a problem during updates as Overrides should be in use:

http://docs.whmcs.com/Language_Files#Overriding_Language_Strings

Templates as well shouldn't, as it's recommended that if you're going to modify a template - copy it's folder into a new folder name, that way during an update of WHMCS your modifications are not altered.

Reports are the same way, you can rename these if you customize them so that WHMCS is unaware of the file name and of course would not be shipping the same file name, thus not overriding it.
