  2. Hi everyone, I think I know the answer, but better to check with more experienced people first. When I first installed WHMCS I followed the recommended action (https://docs.whmcs.com/Further_Security_Steps#Secure_the_Writeable_Directories) for securing the attachments, downloads and template_c folders. Following upgrades, I now have the newest versions in their original place. So, should I just move the folders' contents to the more secure locations, overwriting files where neccessary? It seems like the logical thing to do, to my way of thinking, but, y'know, ask first! Thanks for advice and insight, HarryAdney

  6. If you have specified multiple billing cycles for your products, and a client want to up- or downgrade to another plan, they are going to be billed incorrectly if they also switch their billing period while doing so. Here's an example. I have a product that costs 900DKK per year. Client wants to upgrade to a product that costs 1900 per year. If they keep the billing cycle annually, everything is good. I expect they would pay 1000DKK on the first day of their billing period. However - if they client choses "monthly" billing cycle while doing the upgrade, nothing makes sense anymore. The client now has to pay MORE, even though they've already prepaid for a year. I've already mentioned this to WHMCS, but apparantly this is by design and I should create a feature request (which I did - not live though, yet: https://requests.whmcs.com/idea/change-how-upgradedowngrade-amount-works-when-changing-billing-cycle) Saying something is "by design" doesn't mean that it's correct. It just means it is meant to be that way - but it's obviously very incorrect. When a client goes from yearly -> monthly, they need to pay more - if they go the other way around, they need to pay less. Wouldn't the issue be solved if WHMCS stopped taking the new billing cycle into account and just used the current billing cycle?

  9. Hi I need some assistance. I have a client who upgraded her package from Silver (3GB) to GOLD (5GB) and paying by credit card. I would have assume that the package will be upgraded automatically. However, this was not the case. I logged into WHMCS, accessed the client's profile. It indicated GOLD in the Product/Service dropdown, but the Disk Usage: 3047 MB, Disk Limit: 3000 MB, 102% Used :: BW Usage: 285 MB, BW Limit: 30000 MB, 1% Used. See attached screenshot-1 I then logged in as Client from WHMCS the next day, and it showed that the client is on Gold. However, the details were the same as above that the Disk Limit is 3000MB and that the client must upgrade. See attached screenshot-2 I then logged into WHM and changed the package. However, it still shows 3000MB when the client login to her account and when I access the client's account in WHMCS. This is now three days later. This is also against the backdrop that my account was moved from one server to another. Any idea how to fix it.
  10. So we recently tried to activate Stripe running 7.8.2 and got the error below. We then updated WHMCS to 7.8.3 from 7.8.2 and are still seeing this error; We are not using custom templates for the clients (we're using the default Supreme Comparison template) but we're using Lara for the Admin panel, I don't think we should be seeing this error as all the template files were updated on 9/3 when we upgraded to 7.8.1. I saw that there were quite a few people experiencing this error in the past but almost all of them were related to template changes they made which is not the case for our install. Anyone have a suggestion on where to start troubleshooting this issue?
  11. Hello, I am trying to upgrade from 7.7.1 to 7.8.3 and I keep on getting this error. I have checked the file permissions and even provisionally tried setting them to 777 but I still get this error. Not quite sure what to try now... If anyone could advise what I should try next? Thank you in advance. Update Failed An error occurred that prevented the update from completing successfully. 12. I updated to the latest version today and I find a new bug. In the Language Files are links for example: The link really shows up to https://mydomain/submitticket.php and not corretly to https://mydomain/whmcs/submitticket.php. I have try with <a href=\"{$WEB_ROOT}/submitticket.php\"> but no luck. If I try: <a href=\"whmcs/submitticket.php\"> it makes https://mydomain/whmcs/whmcs/submitticket.php I hope you understand the problem 🙂
  13. I am new to WHMCS and so I am not sure I have the same problem via installation, but I am having the Blank Screen when I try to place/complete an order to for domain names. I am using OpenSRS' Domain Pro module to connect to OpenSRS. When I try to add OpenSRSPro or complete and order it just hangs and I am told this blank screen is a PHP issue. I am wondering if deleting the above php files will help me or if the above advice is only good for the upgrade mentioned above. I tried to turn on error reporting and reproduce the error so I can get a better idea what the error is, but it still is going to blank screen. I am not getting any error reporting in the module either. I am not sure what else to check. Any tips would be appreciated.
  14. I just did the upgrade from 7.4.2 to 7.5 on a system running PHP 7.0 and Ioncube Loader 10.1.0-22.17. I did have to upgrade Ioncube Loader prior to running the automatic upgrade, because I was using an older version. The upgrade said it completed successfully, and there were no error messages; however, now when I try to log on to WHMCS, I get a white screen with only this: Starting Loaded English Language File Loaded Other Language Files and then nothing. There are no error messages in the error logs, and no errors in the file where WHMCS is installed. Naturally, since I get nothing when I log in, I can't go into Setup -> General -> Other, and tick the box to display errors. I've tried clearing my cache, closed my browser completely and restarted, but all I can do is log in and then get the same screen. I used phpMyAdmin to go into tblconfiguration and set DisplayErrors to 1, but I don't get any error output on the page. I've gone through the list of articles on the troubleshooting page, and none seem to apply.
  15. Hi, i have seen a problem with VAT calculation in whmcs 7.4.1 version. As reported in image below, VATon 22% for this invoice need to be 3.54€ and not 3.53€ as reported becasue 16.07 x 22% = 3,5354 so ~ 3.54€ is correct as previous whmcs version. This kind of problem wasn't with last whmcs version 7.2.x . Is it a bug? How is possible to solve it? Thank you. Regards
  16. Hi, I have been using this SMTP for a quite long time but suddenly it stopped working after I upgraded to the latest version, 7.3 I suppose. What I did: 1- Resting the SMTP password 2- Changing the SMTP server 3- Changing the port None of above worked. So I re-uploaded the WHMCS files and disabled addons, not fixed. I followed the steps for SMTP troubleshooting, but did not help at all. I also checked the firewall both at my website server and at the SMTP host, there is no problem with them. I opened a ticket 8 hours ego and still no reply.
  17. Hi, I just upgraded to 7.3.0 and have two issues I noticed right away. 1. When I try to insert a FAQ into a support ticket. The pop up screen just redirects to the home page when I click on a category link. 2. On my FAQ page there is double space for each category box on the right. You can see them to the right https://webhost.pro/knowledgebase.php They seems to be double the proper height.
  18. Hello I tried to upgrade my existing WHMCS 6.3.2 to 7.0.1, but since then site home page (index.php) is not loading. But if I access any other page, they are loading fine. Even the pages which use my template are loading without any issues. I enabled error reporting and it does not show any fatal errors. Only some warnings and notices are shown, which I don't think is a cause for home not being loaded. Admin area and client area are working well. Can anyone please recommend any solution to figure it out? My current server configuration is as follows: PHP 5.6.27 (cli) Zend Engine v2.6.0 with the ionCube PHP Loader (enabled) + Intrusion Protection from ioncube24.com (unconfigured) v6.0.6 mysql Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.6.34 Thanks & Regards Sujith

  20. Hello, I upgraded my WHMCS from 5.3.14 to version 6.2. I followed instructions from WHMCS video tutorial, but when installation was finished, installation folder deleted, I got this fatal error "Fatal error: Class 'PDO' not found in /home/.../public_html/whmcs/vendor/illuminate/database/Illuminate/Database/Capsule/Manager.php on line 73". I checked with phpinfo(), PDO is enabled. Is this problem related to some error during WHMCS upgrading process or with PHP settings. I'm not sure about the error because this is first time to make upgrade of WHMCS. Thanks in advance.
  21. Does the quota increase typically upgrade immediately? How do I offer "upgrade" disk space for shared hosting client? Is it better to offer disk space as "product addon"? I thought I had this all correct, I even scoured the documentation. One thing that isnt clear, is the "Group Name"...does that have to match "Disk Space". It looked as though if the configurable option "Disk Space" isn't being used than the server wouldn't automatically upgrade space. Anyhoos... Setup > Configurable Option Groups I created a group name called "SSD Space" and assigned it to my Hosting Products. I added a new configurable option called "Disk Space" using option type "Radio" and created some options, like: 3072MB|3GB 5120MB|5GB 10240MB|10GB After punching in some prices I created a promo code to do some testing. Ooo and also, I made sure my Products/Services "upgrades" tab had the "Configurable Options" Checkbox "Tick this box to allow Upgrading/Downgrading of configurable options" Under Utilities > Log > System Activity Log I see that cron jobs are being complete. -- misc Client Profile > Products / Services > Disk Space displays correctly but..... displays incorrect quota size order form template = Order Form Template setup > automation > Update Usage Statistics = checked in the WHM admin area, the List Accounts > Quota table column doesn't display updated request. I referred to this post, for some guidance, it was helpful. http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?107438-Cannot-upgrade-downgrade-config-option-from-customer-portal&highlight=configurable+option+upgrade+after+order - - - Updated - - - btw, I don't have a new / separate package in WHM that is duplicated with only the disk space customized. do i need to duplicate each package, and then tweak the disk space option?
  22. WHMCS Version: 6.1 (Tested with demo provided on whmcs.com) Browser: Any Operating System: Any Description; The large green Upgrade button won't work on the product details page for products using the Licensing Manager. The red Cancel button does work. There is NO link provide for this button in the source code Steps to Reproduce; 1. Set up a product using the licensing manager 2. Make sure the product has upgrade options 3. Log into client Area and order the product 4. Go to Services-My Licenses and select the product 5. Click the big Green Upgrade button, it won't do anything Note that the other Upgrade/Downgrade button from the side nav bar does work. This is very confusing for users. Fix The code for the upgrade button looks like this; <button type="button" class="btn btn-info btn-lg btn-block"> <i class="fa fa-arrow-up fa-2x"></i><br/> Upgrade </button> It should be ( I think); <form method="post" action="upgrade.php?type=package"> <input type="hidden" name="token" value="**token**"/> <input type="hidden" name="id" value="**productid**"/> <button type="button" class="btn btn-info btn-lg btn-block"> <i class="fa fa-arrow-up fa-2x"></i><br/> Upgrade </button> </form> Note that I do not see a way to fix this on my own because in clientareaproductdetails.tpl the output is in one variable called $tplOverviewTabOutput which I cannot find a way to edit.
  23. I tried to run the upgrade process. Visiting whmcs-path/admin gives: Critical Error SQLSTATE[HY000] [2054] The server requested authentication method unknown to the client Visiting whmcs-path/install shows installation/upgrade screen (Step 1), then I'm able to proceed to Step 2 which says (btw, version shown to the right of the logo is 6.0 and not 6.0.1): Upgrade Your Installation We have detected that you are currently running WHMCS Version 5.3.13. This update process will upgrade your installation to 6.0.1. But no link to click nor the script proceeds automatically. I tried manually changing install/install.php?step=2 to install/install.php?step=3 but then it asks me for the license details and database config. On another thread someone has had similar or exactly the same problem. One of your staff members suspected it might be due to usage of old password hashing (16 chars) rather than new (40) chars. If you also think it may be due to that problem, please let me know how should I ask my hosting support about that.
  24. Team, I'm hoping that someone can provide some guidance for me regarding the issues that I'm experiencing. I recently upgraded to version 6.01. Here are the issues: 1. - As soon as I login, at the very top I see a few spinning items with a red error of some sort...but they never stop spinning. You can see the image here: http://i.imgur.com/ofOMW5Y.png 2. - Also, I was trying to 'activate' one of my inactive/disabled Administrator Accounts. After I uncheck the 'Disabled' check box and enter my password, I get a PHP error. Please see here: PHP Error: http://i.imgur.com/rZ0nUVy.png Thank you, J.
  25. After upgrade (incremental from 5.2.15) to 5.2.16 can't see on administrative backend any domain of my customers. xxxxxx/clientsdomains.php?userid=AAA&domainid=YYYYY Blank page. Apreciate help.
