Licensing Addon Owners :: How to do this ?

Hi, for those that use Licensing Addon.

We would like to distribute a software for free, but monthly the customer should contact us , and our staff will prolong license for another month, editing the licence expiration.

For example: We will distribute a free app, but to be free you have to recomend us in google+, or report us a bug in the software, or what i want..., but monthly customer should request us an extension of licence, if not licence will expire.

So, If I put a simbolic price to the product , for example 1$ , our financial reports will be messed up..

How do you suggest i can do this ?

Wait your suggestions..

>>Auto Terminate

it works up to the product setup day or next due date ?

>> when the registration date is not renewed...

You meant that our support staff should change registration date of product, not renewal date, right ?

>> e-mail marketing rules..

it only has Days Filter Type "Before next due date" .. or "After order date"

But Licensing Addon works to check valid licence upon Next due date right ? not creation date..

Please see:

http://docs.whmcs.com/Configuring_Products/Services#Pricing_Tab -> Auto Terminate/Fixed Term

This will depend on the registration date so the ‘Next Due Date’ (renewal date is for domains) would not be important for this function. Beside the ‘Next Due Date’ is for invoice generation. If you want to terminate a product after this you need to adapt the automation invoice settings but this is probably not what you want.

As for the marketing rules I am not sure which date WHMCS is using. The actual order date or the product registration date (I think the second one). I suspect you have a demo product so you can try the behavior of curtain setting combinations.

Hope this will help you finding your way!
