WHMCS CEO Matt Posted November 25, 2011 Author WHMCS CEO Share Posted November 25, 2011 Ignore me. Looks like it works, just need to fix my Kayako templates... Good to hear you were able to get this resolved. I can confirm there are no known issues with the Kayako integration and all modules from V4.5 should still be compatable with V5.0. I actually like the look of the new version, especially the dashboard. I do have one suggestion for the Blend admin template - Since the "stats" div in the header has the same info as in the System Overview widget, perhaps that could be eliminated. I do have it set to "display: none" in the css. The widgets are not template specific, and the system overview does contain a lot more stats than the stats shown as part of the blend template, however if you wish, you can certainly disable the System Overview widget. Just remove it from your Admin Role Group in Setup > Administrator Roles. I am trying to save something on the General Settings Page, configgeneral.php but when i try to save i am getting the following error: 403 Forbidden, Access is forbidden to the requested page. What is going wrong ? This is a mod_security issue. A rule on your server must be blocking something in the form post data. Your host or server admins should be able to identify while rule is catching it, and then remove or adjust as necessary to resolve. Matt

seandnz
Hi Matt and Team, firstly pretty awesome work! so many thanks. I have enabled Social FB, Goggle, Twitter works (as it did before) but they do not appear on our announcements and have cleared cache, template_c and all sorts of other things but not success, any idea what this could be? Also, I don't post often so hopefully I have submitted this in the right place!
lance
seandnz, are you logged in as a client when viewing the announcements page? as thats the only time it shows for us

I probably wasn't clear - I LOVE the widget - what I'm suggesting is removing the status line at the top of the page (since the information there is repeated - with more and better detail - in the widget. Thanks for the great job!
seandnz
seandnz, are you logged in as a client when viewing the announcements page? as thats the only time it shows for us Sorry my bad!, we have custom integration templates, so we will have to remake our client area templates. I set the the client area template to the default and they do appear, so it our client area templates which need fixing so not WHMCS issue it's ours. Many thanks for the reply

Enigma
Not sure if it has been posted previously but thought I would just say that uploading new files to a suphp config will make them a root user and will not work. So they need to be chown to the correct user.
Payton Designs
I hate to say it, but I am not impressed with the new designs associated with WHMCS v5. When will you guys start to focus more on clean and user friendly interface? Especially the Admin Area... You guys should have looked into implementing John's Admin Theme permanently. geistschatten
After upgrading everything works perfect except for the server status. It shows the uptime and load but all the services icons are on failed/down instead of OK/up. I triple checked file permissions, the server status URL, and even went to the URL, it came up with: 1.16 109 Days 11:16:11 5.2.17Notice: Undefined variable: mysqlver in /home/username/public_html/status/index.php on line 61 Notice: Undefined variable: zendver in /home/username/public_html/status/index.php on line 62 (Edited out the username for security purposes but that's what showed up and an error log in the server status folder came up with the same thing.) Am I missing something? Also, can't seem to figure out how to delete notes in the Staff Noticeboard, I added my username to the Master Admin IDs. Thank you Matt and WHMCS team, you guys have created the best billing software on the planet! Now if you could only take the place of PayPal as my payment processor

Si
Quick question: Is there a difference in what emails customers and what emails admins? The reason I ask is that since installing v5 more than 12 hours ago, no customers are receiving emails, (and we as admins aren't receiving copies of customer emails), but we are receiving admin emails. ie, New Orders, New Support Tickets. Totally baffled here.

Troy
I'm working with 5.0.2 using a spare license we're not currently utilizing. I have configured a hosting plan with two configurable options, Disk Space and Dedicated IP. Both are drop downs, the disk space option having values like 1024MB|1 Gigabyte, the Dedicated IP option having values of No and Yes. While logged in as a client, in the product details I see these configuration options displayed like this: 1: 1 Y: Y That is literally all I see, which of course won't tell the client much. The 1 corresponds to the storage option, and the Y corresponds to the dedicated IP. Smarty {debug} shows this for {$configoptions}: Array (2) Disk Space => 1024MB Dedicated IP => Yes Looking at {$configoptions} from a service in our product site running WHMCS 4.5.2, it's much more complex. Here's just the beginning of it: Array (2) 0 => Array (13) id => 73 hidden => 0 optionname => Disk Space optiontype => 1 selectedvalue => 614 .... Seems like the {$configoptions} variable in 5.0.2 is not being populated properly.
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted November 26, 2011 Author WHMCS CEO Share Posted November 26, 2011 Matt, can you please have a look at Post 39 - and tell me if this is something you guys are going to look at or not / and/or if theres a quick fix for this. Sorry missed this one earlier and haven't seen any other reports of it yet. I guess we would have to add the captcha image to the homepage to resolve that. Just copying the image tag as used in domainchecker.tpl should work. Quick question: Is there a difference in what emails customers and what emails admins? I'm not aware of there having been any changes, and not experiencing any other reports of problems yet. Presumably using SMTP mail? And not seeing any errors in the activity log relating to it? hozzt
hi, we updated to v5 20 hours ago. we are using resellerclub as domain registrar. now, when we want to open domain details page of any costumer, we see following error: "CURL Error: 7 - couldn't connect to host (IP: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx & xxx.xxx.xxx.xxy)" there were no errors until now. is there any general problem with the version? is there anything that we need to do? we whitelisted the ip address 3 hours ago on resellerclub.com panel to fix this problem (i read it on your article) but not fixed. and also, before that, we were using this for 2 years without any problem (without adding the ip to whitelist until today) any ideas? thanks

WHMCS CEO Matt Posted November 26, 2011 Author WHMCS CEO Share Posted November 26, 2011 Yes you don't want all of that, just copy the image part - will work for the standard captcha, just not reCAPTCHA. @ptdesigner: Check the patches thread, there's a fix there for that one.
