I have asked for this on the feature requests site here, but the request was marked as "under consideration" and then archived. Others have asked for this and similar enhancements here, and here.

I am posting this in this community because the way the feature requests site works, new requests kind of fall to the bottom of the heap and no one sees them. 


We often need to assign a ticket to a particular contact but we aren't able to unless we manually update the database with the correct contactid.

We can assign a ticket to a client but not a contact. It would be very nice if we could do this through the admin view ticket page and the API updateticket action.
