tickets created long after the email

For some reason I'm getting the emails (as these are forwarded to my regular email address) long before the ticket replies show up in the ticket. I have few people that create tickets and this one customer has always had an issue with me getting those forwarded emails. Now I get the email but the ticket doesn't show the reply for a long time. Right now the email is 2 hours old. The last one finally did show  up later.  I do have piping set up correctly and it was working before.  There is nothing in my Ticket Mail Import Log since I upgraded back in July. Obviously something is still not right but I can't imagine what. The cron job is set up to run every 5 minutes.  I do seem to be getting the new ticket created notices (that's what wasn't happening before with this one customer).
