Cannot remove product

hello i've been trying to remove a product from my WHMCS but i'm keep getting this message

 

You cannot delete a product that is in use. To delete the product, you need to first re-assign or remove the products using it.

 

I've removed the customer and everything, but i cannot delete it.

... that 'and everything' bit worries me!

 

all you needed to do was either delete or change the product assigned to the client, but it sounds like you've just deleted the client... so I would expect the product is still assigned to the deleted client in the database.

 

that's probably made the situation worse because you now can't delete the assigned product in the admin area, as you've deleted the client it's assigned to.

 

if it were me, i'd be tempted to delete the record directly in the tblhosting database table - but that's probably something you shouldn't attempt to do without first backing up the database.
