Hostgator / WHMCS 7 / PHP5.6 / Cron Jobs

I've had the same problems like a lot of you guys with the subject of this Post.

Weeks talking to HG and a couple tickets with WHMCS I got something that finally work.

 

Use the below as your Cron Jobs:

*/5 * * * *  /opt/php56/bin/php -q /home/SERVER/public_html/crons/cron.php

 

Make sure that the PHP Configuration is set to PHP56

You should move the crons out of your public_html directory as per http://docs.whmcs.com/Further_Security_Steps

This worked for me but I tried this in the past and it failed. Not sure what HG changed since I tried last but regardless I'm still leaving HG. Their support is horrible.
