crons/cron.php vs. admin/cron.php

What is the different between crons/crons.php and admin/crons.php? I have them both running, and now im getting duplicate line items in invoices. Trying to figure if it's connected. Are they both necessary?

since WHMCS v6 you need to run the one inside /cron/ directory only.

no need for the one inside admin as it has been discontinued
