Price Override Logic - Admin Orders

Hi All,

Has anyone got a solution for the illogical way that the price override works when ordering from the Admin portal?

E.g. We've got a customer who wants us to organise a new hosting package, call it Package A, standard pricing says that it's pro-rata'd to the end of the following month.

It's priced at $27.50/month

It's also got a $25 setup fee.

If we want to change the monthly price of the product to $20 using the Price Override function

It removes the $25 setup fee, and it overrides the pro-rata function. So, we'd end up with an invoice for $20 for a month and a half, instead of one for $30.

I'm unsure why there is not a separate price override for the setup fee, and why it does not respect pro-rata pricing.

https://requests.whmcs.com/idea/add-behaviour-so-price-override-and-pro-rata-products-work-together - this was 3 years ago - please WHMCS Staff, do not suggest a feature request, the feature request system is broken.

Does anyone have a better solution?

Thanks!
