Custom fields for add ons - is it really completed

Has anyone tried a custom field with an add-on? It seems like it is still not allowing custom fields on an add-on. Or is it my template file?

The six template does not show the custom field for product add-ons but otherwise seems to "work".  The template does not have foreach loop to go through them like it does for configurable options for example.  The new twenty-one template does not have have it either .  So looks like that needs to be a bug report / feature request.  

A workaround would be adding a for loop might work to go through the add-on custom fields, if they are provided, or a product details output hook used to inject them.
