snake
I have another WHMCS install, and I need to copy across some of the clients from the old install, is there any easy way to export/import the clients ?
zomex
I haven't seen it in a while but I believe WHMCS have a import script that allows you to merge the data from 2 WHMCS installs as long as both are running the same version. You may need to contact WHMCS to see if they still offer this script.

zomex
That's a shame, I knew it was a while ago I saw the script. @snake - how much data do you need to copy across? You mention some if it's something you could do in a few hours manually I'd recommend it. It's better to spend more time but know it's done properly.
snake
Hi, thanks but I do not want to merge 2 whmcs installs, I just want to import a few clients.
brian!
thanks but I do not want to merge 2 whmcs installs, I just want to import a few clients. FWIW, i'd go along with Zomex on this - do it manually and then you shouldn't have a problem. if you had said 'all' and not 'some', I might have suggested doing an SQL export/import (remembering not to export the existing id values) - but even then, if it were me, i'd prefer the manual method.
twhiting9275
yeah, manual is going to be better. WHMCS staff really needs to get on the merge scripts though. Been dead for better than a year now
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted July 8, 2016 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted July 8, 2016 Hi, A new WHMCSAssist tool is in the works which will import data from external systems into a WHMCS v6.3 installation. However we do not have a tool which can import only specific data such as certain clients, so as others have mentioned that would be best handled manually: http://docs.whmcs.com/Importing_Data#Manual_Client_Entry If you'd like to generate back-dated invoices once a client is added, instructions for doing so are at http://docs.whmcs.com/How_To_Guides#Regenerate_Historical_Invoices
