PayPal auto-return doesn't send back to 'cart.php?a=complete'

Hello,

 

No matter what I do and set, both in WHMCS and PayPal, the return URL after PayPal payment is never a 'cart.php?a=complete'

 

Instead, it keeps returning to Invoice in WHMCS.

 

This is happening both with original WHMCS order form & template AND with custom WHMCS order form & template.

 

WHMCS has sent me a diagnostic file and there is nothing wrong with PHP sessions between PayPal and WHMCS.

 

WHMCS has open a case for this telling me that "our developers are already looking into possible solutions that might be implemented at our end in future".

 

But I need a solution for this now. Looking at similar threads, I couldn't find a solution for this.

 

 

Btw, I have tried with all WHMCS settings:

 

- Settings >> General Settings >> Ordering >> Auto Redirect on Checkout >> Automatically forward the user to the payment gateway

 

- Settings >> General Settings >> Ordering >> Auto Redirect on Checkout >> Automatically take the user to the invoice

 

- Settings >> General Settings >> Ordering >> Auto Redirect on Checkout >> Just show the order completed page (no payment redirect)

 

 

but it keeps returning to Invoice page instead.

 

 

Can someone shed some light on this issue? Some guru out here?
