  1. How and where can I remove this PayPal Checkout on my Order Summary?
  2. This is rather confusing. I'm trying to set up PayPal as my payment gateway. I've run into some confusion and need help. In WHMCS it is asking for API Username API Details are required for Refunds and Subscription cancellations API Password API Signature When I go to the PayPal site I don't see any of this. They provide two items (which I won't list here) Client ID Secret I don't want to be guessing on this as I want it to work right the first time. Now I'm inclined to believe that API username and API Password are the username and password I log into PayPal would that make the ClintID the API Signature? I'd really appreciate any assistance. Thanks.
  3. Hi Client charged 2nd time even if invoice is paid, Client paying using PayPal subscription. BUT In previous two months it was normal and charging only once per invoice. Invoice 1: https://nimb.ws/J2Apmk Invoice 2: https://nimb.ws/W1ci0K Log: https://nimb.ws/gdYsqv Is this setting from PayPal Subscription or anything else in Product setup? Thanks in advance kan
  4. I am still struggling with my Paypal gateway in WHMCS setup. I have a question, when you select Paypal as the prefered payment gateway. 2 x PayPal payment gateways come up. 1. PayPal - it asks for Client ID and Client secret. - which someone at Paypal told me they don't use any longer. 2. Paypal basic - which asks for API user name, Password, and signature So which one would you recommend? I completed both, but the payment page is sometimes being skipped by the process. Maybe because I have both completed.

  6. Hi Guys. Please enlighten me about this statement, I am confused from the documentation link https://docs.whmcs.com/PayPal#PayPal_Subscriptions.2FRecurring_Billing
  7. PayPal Direct Payment Transaction Hi Guys. I recently received a PayPal payment through a direct payment on PayPal by a client but I would like to record the transaction to my WHMCS system to manage the business transactions all in one place. Do you have an Idea on how to do this or can you recommend some steps to fulfill this scenario? Managing Gateway Fees Another thing... Can you recommend me how to manage the billing and invoices when receiving a payment from a client and less the gateway fees on WHMCS? It's so confusing that WHMCS is recording the actual invoice amount when on my actual merchant account (i.e. PayPal) is less for gateway fees of what was invoiced. Please enlighten me. Thanks further...
  8. What generates the paypal subscription ID? I've tired to test with a product where PayPal is enabled, but the subscription number is never present. Perhaps Im not waiting long enough? Is it generated when a cron job runs or something?
  9. When I tried to do a test checkout I realized that I cant continue. I get an error about invalid tax percentage, but I don't even have tax setup. I am using WHMCS 7.4.2 I get the error no matter what payment gateway, and I have tried a fresh install of the checkout.tpl file and a bunch of other files that is included on multiple pages such as common and the sidebars. When I enable error reporting, I get the following stack trace: WHMCS\Exception\Billing\BillingException: Invalid tax percentage: in /home/myuser/public_html/vendor/whmcs/whmcs-foundation/lib/Billing/Tax.php:0 Stack trace: #0 /home/myuser/public_html/vendor/whmcs/whmcs-foundation/lib/Billing/Tax.php(0): WHMCS\Billing\Tax->validateTaxPercentage(NULL) #1 /home/myuser/public_html/includes/invoicefunctions.php(0): WHMCS\Billing\Tax->setLevel1Percentage(NULL) #2 /home/myuser/public_html/includes/processinvoices.php(0): updateInvoiceTotal(0) #3 /home/myuser/public_html/includes/processinvoices.php(0): createInvoicesProcess(false, true, '') #4 /home/myuser/public_html/includes/orderfunctions.php(0): createInvoices(1, true, '', Array) #5 /home/myuser/public_html/cart.php(0): calcCartTotals(true) #6 {main}
  10. Hello WHMCS, I know I can attempt a capture of a payment that is using credit cards. On clients using Paypal the option is blanked out. Is there a way I can do it just like the credit cards option for these clients using Paypal?
  11. On the Products & Services, there is a "Subscription ID" location which I understand is where PayPal will return a "Subscription ID" if the customer agrees to having subscriptions paid automatically. However, can this be used with the PayPal Payments Standard or must I upgrade to PayPal Payments Pro and/or subscribe to PayPal's Enhanced Recurring Payments service? If a customer logs into their billing account, clicks on an invoice and clicks on the payment button, when they get to PayPal, will PayPal ask them if they want to setup a subscription for this service that they are paying for? If so, then I 'assume' a "Subscription ID" is returned and the product record is updated to store this ID. Then the next month when the next invoice is generated, the WHMCS system will automatically contact PayPal to have the 'invoice' paid by the customer payment source? I appreciate any feedback anyone can give. Thanks. Luke
  12. When I try to cancel a Paypal subscription with the Subscription ID cancel subscription button on the product page it always: An Error Occurred Subscription Cancellation Failed Yet I can issue refunds and everything is connected correctly with Paypal. Gateway log: TIMESTAMP => 2018-05-14T17:45:22Z CORRELATIONID => Numbers and letters are here ACK => Failure VERSION => 3.0 BUILD => 39949200 L_ERRORCODE0 => 11552 L_SHORTMESSAGE0 => Invalid profile ID L_LONGMESSAGE0 => The profile ID is invalid L_SEVERITYCODE0 => Error
  13. Not sure what caused it but new accounts are not getting a call back from Paypal saying the payment is made. In WHMCS it says: (Please ensure Instant Payment Notification (IPN) is enabled under Selling Preferences within your PayPal account leaving the Notification URL empty. For new PayPal Accounts this is enabled by default.) But in Paypal when I try to leave it blank it says: You must enter a properly formatted URL into the Notification URL field in order to activate Instant Payment Notification. And adds our URL: https://webhost.pro But I think this is just a doc error because it was like this before and worked fine. Any other ideas why the Call Back would stop working for new accounts? Recurring billing calls back fine.
  14. Hi Guys, We have a number of people which have an issue with duplicate charges. Could you please advise? Here is the issue. For example, a user has an active Automatic Payment on PayPal for 25th of each month but he pays the invoice manually on the 21st following month. Now the automatic payment should bypass and not be charging the client anymore for that particular invoice as the invoice is already paid BUT it does charge the client's account. So 2 charges occur. There are no error logs which I could relate it to this duplicate charges in the Gateway logs. Could you please advise? Thanks

  17. Hi, We want to cancel the paypal subscription upon termination. For that we will use this hook http://docs.whmcs.com/Hooks:AfterModuleTerminate and paypal api to cancel the subscription. Whmcs has a paypal module by default as you know. But we don't know how to use it with a hook?. Googled a lot, but not find anything helpful and also asked whmcs support, but no useful replies. Also the module is encoded as you know. So we searched for paypal sdk and got one. But the same thing here too, ie we don't know that how do we integrate the sdk in whmcs? Can we do it as a class? then how can we do?. Or Where do we upload this sdk?. We hope that any one can help us Thanks, Dixon Joseph.
  18. With the Login with PayPal Module, your clients can authenticate into your WHMCS using PayPal. It’s the same procedure we already know for Facebook, or maybe Twitter and GitHub. The Login with PayPal module is a commerce identity solution that enables clients to register/login into the client area quickly and securely using their PayPal login credentials. One of the most important reasons to use the module is simplicity. Your clients will not need to remember another set of credentials – the same advantage OAuth via FB, Twitter, etc have. In addition, the login procedure is absolutely secured fewer concerns for you. However, it’s not just an email and a password. Features Login form the client are login page Register form the client register page Register or login form the checkout page Connect to PayPal for existing clients from the client panel Clients register list for admin area to see all connected clients Custom buttons – you can use your own buttons style Debug mode – sandbox or live View the product Page View all our works and Products
  19. Hi, I thought I would share that I managed to do this, and should help out others. The topic that did it for me. http://thereforei.am/2012/07/03/cancelling-subscriptions-created-with-paypal-standard-via-the-express-checkout-api/ So in the module I created under the function terminate. I used the API to get the product details of the service. This gave me the subscription ID. I then run the PayPal function which terminated the subscription. //// SUSPEND PAYPAL PAYMENTS //// $command = "getclientsproducts"; $adminuser = "whmusername"; $values["clientid"] = $params['clientsdetails']['userid']; $values["serviceid"] = $params["serviceid"]; $values["responsetype"] = "xml"; $PRODUCTARRAY = localAPI($command,$values,$adminuser); $SUBSCRIPTIONID = $PRODUCTARRAY[products][product][0]['subscriptionid']; change_subscription_status( $SUBSCRIPTIONID, 'Cancel' ); //// SUSPEND PAYPAL PAYMENTS //// PayPal Function /** * Performs an Express Checkout NVP API operation as passed in $action. * * Although the PayPal Standard API provides no facility for cancelling a subscription, the PayPal * Express Checkout NVP API can be used. */ function change_subscription_status( $profile_id, $action ) { $api_request = 'USER=' . urlencode( 'api_username' ) . '&PWD=' . urlencode( 'api_password' ) . '&SIGNATURE=' . urlencode( 'api_signature' ) . '&VERSION=76.0' . '&METHOD=ManageRecurringPaymentsProfileStatus' . '&PROFILEID=' . urlencode( $profile_id ) . '&ACTION=' . urlencode( $action ) . '&NOTE=' . urlencode( 'Profile cancelled at store' ); $ch = curl_init(); curl_setopt( $ch, CURLOPT_URL, 'https://api-3t.sandbox.paypal.com/nvp' ); // For live transactions, change to 'https://api-3t.paypal.com/nvp' curl_setopt( $ch, CURLOPT_VERBOSE, 1 ); // Uncomment these to turn off server and peer verification // curl_setopt( $ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER, FALSE ); // curl_setopt( $ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST, FALSE ); curl_setopt( $ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1 ); curl_setopt( $ch, CURLOPT_POST, 1 ); // Set the API parameters for this transaction curl_setopt( $ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $api_request ); // Request response from PayPal $response = curl_exec( $ch ); // If no response was received from PayPal there is no point parsing the response if( ! $response ) die( 'Calling PayPal to change_subscription_status failed: ' . curl_error( $ch ) . '(' . curl_errno( $ch ) . ')' ); curl_close( $ch ); // An associative array is more usable than a parameter string parse_str( $response, $parsed_response ); return $parsed_response; } Hope this helps and saves plenty of time and $$$ Feel free to improve it. Like if subcription == ' ' Enjoy
  20. I don´t assume this is a bug, but I bet the following behaviour is widely unknown: We have a hostingproduct configured for € 0.00 monthly (could not use "free" as we need to offer free domain for that and that is not possible with the free option, but it is possible when set the pricing to zero) Now a customer made an upgrade to a paid hosting package 1 day after ordering the free one. Instead of billing €12/anually which is the correct price for the upgrade, the paypal subscription created the following: Trial 2016-02-03 until 2016-03-02 (28 days): € 0.92 Anually begin 2016-03-02: € 12,-- Client got an invoice of only € 0.92 ! I pulled my hair about where the trial period comes but then it was clear... because he ordered the free product (which was priced at 0.00) for one month, he got a partial invoice for the rest of the old package runtime (28 days) and the rest will be billed after that. I´am curious if he will be billed €12 - €0.92 (which would be correct, product runtime is one year...) or maybe the full €12 (as announced in the paypal subscription statement) At least it is bad that this is announced as "trial period" in the paypal statement (because this implies the right for cancellation) Michael
  21. Hello, No matter what I do and set, both in WHMCS and PayPal, the return URL after PayPal payment is never a 'cart.php?a=complete' Instead, it keeps returning to Invoice in WHMCS. This is happening both with original WHMCS order form & template AND with custom WHMCS order form & template. WHMCS has sent me a diagnostic file and there is nothing wrong with PHP sessions between PayPal and WHMCS. WHMCS has open a case for this telling me that "our developers are already looking into possible solutions that might be implemented at our end in future". But I need a solution for this now. Looking at similar threads, I couldn't find a solution for this. Btw, I have tried with all WHMCS settings: - Settings >> General Settings >> Ordering >> Auto Redirect on Checkout >> Automatically forward the user to the payment gateway - Settings >> General Settings >> Ordering >> Auto Redirect on Checkout >> Automatically take the user to the invoice - Settings >> General Settings >> Ordering >> Auto Redirect on Checkout >> Just show the order completed page (no payment redirect) but it keeps returning to Invoice page instead. Can someone shed some light on this issue? Some guru out here? Cheers.

  23. Hi, WHMCS has stopped adding payments from Paypal to invoices. We have IPN configured correctly and enabled. Also we have configured Paypal gateway correctly but nothin. Someone in the same situation? Any kind of suggestion? Thank you.
  24. When a user has an active paypal subscription ID is there a way of turning off the invoice reminder emails to them?
  25. For the past few days anyone who places a new order does not get an invoice and when I look at the orders it says: "No Invoice Due". Looking at the outgoing email log they appear to be receiving the welcome email and the order confirmation email but no invoice is being generated by WHMCS or being sent. I use the PayPal gateway and I'm currently running WHCMS Version: 5.3.14. Nothing has changed on my end and I'm really confused about why this has cropped up. Has anyone else experienced this? If there are any other details I need to provide please let me know. (I tried opening a support ticket with WHCMS and haven't received a reply in over 24 hours, not impressed by the option to pay $30 to gt a quicker reply.)
