Module Create Failed - Service ID: 316 - Error: The domain already exists in the Apache configuratio

Note that this domain once was hosted by us. Months later, the client came back and wanted to get it hosted again. I added the order to WHMCS. But WHMCS gives me the subject error when trying to make it "active." The CREATE command does not work either.

Could it be that the domain got stuck in the Apache configuration file when it was deleted from WHMCS a while ago? Is WHMCS working as it should be? Finally, what should I do so I can send the proper Welcome and Setup Letters to the client?

Any help would be appreciated!

This is not WHMCS issue. The domain should not be removed from Apache configuration when it was deleted earlier. You will have to manually remove virtualhost entry for this domain from your Apache configuration file (httpd.conf). If you have not done this previous, you should update your server administrator. If you edit httpd.conf in wrong way, Apache will be crashed and all websites will go down.

WHMCS is connected to WHM and by extension, the Apache config file. When a new domain is added via WHMCS, the virtualhost entry is also added automatically to httpd.conf. Correct? Then why won't the domain be deleted from that same file when the site is terminated?
