When you add an invoice how do you associate it with a product?

I had a customer that wanted to pay three months in advance. I added an invoice but if it's paid how will it push the due date o the actual product.

 

Does the subscription ID have to match?

 

Or how does the invoice update the product?

Easiest way? Create an invoice manually and put the price for 3 months then update Next Due Date by adding 3 months. Save changes. Yes, there's another way but it could be too messy. This is the easiest one in my oponion.

So if the dates match up on the invoice and the product it will move the product due date further?

 

What if you have two products with the same due date?

@chaze - I think what Kian is trying to say is that you will need to manually adjust the next due date because the system won't associate the invoice with any service. So you have to adjust the next due date so when the cron runs it doesn't create an erroneous invoice.
