Do you prefer paying by Credit Card or Paypal?

Hey Everyone;

 

I've been debating for sometime whether or not to start accepting credit cards . I think that this is worthy of your opinion.

 

I know when I am online and shopping around I love using paypal. No need to find my wallet and pull out my Visa to type out the numbers. Paypal does that for me. I will definitely pay by paypal 85% of the time online.

 

What is your preferred method of payment?

When there's an option I always use credit card.

For me it depends, if it's a well-known site or one I've used before I'll use my credit card. For anyone else I use PayPal.

We have 17 different payment methods - why turn away a potential client ?

Well I think 17 different payment methods is a little excessive. But definitely I do agree why turn away a potential customer? If they want to pay by credit, they should not have to be linked off to paypal.

Jeremy there are quite a few that like the choice between CC and PayPal.

I find that out of about 2.5k clients about 65-70% prefer PayPal for mods and hosting clients prefer CC

It's not that hard to get a merchant account and to get good low fees depending on the volume that you would be putting through the merchant gateway.

I use paypal only eBay other than that credit card. We accept visa/mastercard/discover/amex and echeck, mail a company check (no personal), and paypal if you really have too.
