rugg
Hi, it will be almost one year after you change the price, do you plan to change price again ? no matter higher or lower ? thanks
bear
Of course they will. It's only a matter of when. At some point there will not be enough coming in to satisfy the venture capitalist company behind them (static income is abhorred, it's always "more is better" to them), and since there isn't likely enough generated via the "marketplace" apps they see a little from, they will turn to increasing licensing costs, or some other metric that will cause higher rates. What often happens in things like this is the higher cost drives users to alternatives, causing increases to fill that gap, which causes more being driven away...
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted March 2, 2022 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted March 2, 2022 Hi @rugg, We periodically review pricing to ensure our prices is set appropriately to allow us to continue innovating and delivering market-leading software. Whilst we cannot commit to fixed pricing forever, the prices that went into effect on July 1, 2021 will be valid until further notice. We are confident in our pricing structure; based upon number of active clients under administration, and we foresee that continuing as the basis for license pricing in future.

yggdrasil
Since it's a leased monthly price, they can change pricing at any time. Today, tomorrow...this is how it works with services. Do you know any company that tends to lower prices? If they do change pricing, it's up, never down. They could just keep the existing monthly prices but reduce the number of accounts or start to charge for sub-accounts or other metrics. Today they charge for an active number of customers, but I suspect they are going to also charge for users in the future. That means active customers + users under that account. You need to be ready to change your business plans and costs when they do. With the current inflation globally, it's highly likely we are going to see another increase this year.
