pRieStaKos
I just updated to 7.7 and Drag & Drop is not working for all the widgets. My custom, System and Automation Overview are the only widgets that are movable. Tested in Firefox (latest) and Chrome (latest)
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted January 22, 2019 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted January 22, 2019 Hi @pRieStaKos I checked in my local 7.7.0 installation and was able to move around all the widgets successfully; Activity, MarketConnect, Support, Billing etc. Please ensure you're using a stock template (Blend or Admin) and try clearing your browser cache/temporary internet files.
pRieStaKos
I reuploaded clean version of Blend, widget position reset, but they are not movable. Only at the begging of the test (after the upload and refresh of the page). Checked it in Firefox, Chrome, Edge. Nevermind.

pRieStaKos
OK. Lets see.... I got one custom widget that is movable. I can move System, Automation Overview only. The other widgets can not be moved. I got the arrow icon on mouse over, but i cannot change the position. I already re-upload the Blend template folder, from 7.7 zip file. For start I can change the positions and then, nothing. Only the first 3 widgets (custom widget got 150 weight). So what's the case ? N8Solutions
I am able to move the widgets around BUT when I "Minimize" or "Maximize" the "MarketConnect" widget by clicking the arrow it moves back to its original position of Top & Center instead of staying in the position it was placed in. This behavior definitely seems like a bug, and Yes, I have cleared the cache. With all of the other Widgets they stay in the position they were placed in and the others will change their position based on the increased or decreased space. So the problem I am experiencing is related strictly to the MarketConnect widget.

As i mention before, I already tried 3 browsers and now i checked on 2 different PCs. I can only move 3 widgets on the top 2 rows of the admin dashboard area.
brian!
FWIW, i'm in the camp that are seeing all the widgets as movable - even old v5 / v6 widgets! 🧙♂️ I might be tempted to suggest reuploading the 'assets' folder again - I can see an 'AdminDashboard.js' file in there that could be highly relevant to this functionality - though frankly, if that doesn't work, i'd be inclined to do a more thorough reupload (starting with vendor) and see if that helps.
pRieStaKos
reuploaded the 'assets' folder again. Nothing changed...
pRieStaKos
Issue has been resolved. Fun fact: Microsoft Edge (🤣) console gave a serious clue for a fix...
zomex
Glad it's sorted. Are you able to share the solution? May help others in the same situation.
pRieStaKos
Yes. TIP1: Never use cPanel editor without evaluating through IDE. Editors are not reliable. TIP2: Beware of EOF with html tag (missed a div and double quote for a tag and the whole admin area fricked out. TIP3: Check Edge console after testing on G Chrome and FF (That’s a joke)
