Domain search bar on front page?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Is there a way to have a domain search bar on the front page of my site, that actually returns domain results/recommendations, or does this have to be done in the WHMCS cart?

The only WHMCS "Integration Code" code I have is: Clients Login, Domain Ordering, and User Registration.

The "Domain Ordering" code does in fact create a Form you can submit, but all it does is re-direct to the shopping cart page with the domain ordering bar (you even have to re-enter the domain you were wanting, as the original form didn't return anything). Seems like that "integration code" just re-directs to the cart.

I'd really like a search bar that returns results and recommendations right there on the front page of my site (outside of WHMCS) - is this possible? Can somebody share some code that works?

Thanks

-Sean

depends on your website - perhaps if it's WordPress, you might be able to use WHMPress for your domain search.

it should pass the query to the cart without the need for retyping... though it wouldn't if the integration code used wasn't compatible with the WHMCS version you're using.

I doubt there'd be some quick simple code to do it all outside of WHMCS... the usual way would be to style your WHMCS theme so that the user didn't notice when they were being switched from your main site to WHMCS.

Thanks. I am in fact using wordpress, and the latest version of WHMCS.

With WHMPress, do I have the ability to embed a search bar on the front page (wordpress portion) of my site? I didn't see that anywhere in the WHMPress descriptions.

Thanks

it's virtually the whole point of WHMPress to do that - to embed functions into a Wordpress page.

that live preview links to a demo that is not a WHMCS page (can see that by viewing the source of the page), it is Wordpress.
