How to setup billing with PayPal for one time payments

Hello,

I don't know you but I am getting often problems with PayPal subscription so my idea is to not use them anymore on getting payments.

When I setup a billing cycle to be monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual how can I setup the billing to ask only for one time payments?

So mainly I don't want the button "Subscribe" to show up.

Many thanks for your help.

Best Regards

Roberto

Hi Roberto,

http://docs.whmcs.com/PayPal#Force_One_Time_Payments

Begin by activating the payment gateway under Setup > Payments > Payment Gateways and choose PayPal from the Available Gateways dropdown.

By default clients can chose between one-time and subscriptions payments and enter their own billing details on the PayPal site, the following options allow this behaviour to be changed.

Force One Time Payments

When ticked clients will only be able to make one-time payments (subscriptions disabled). For recurring services they will be required to login and pay each invoice.

Hello Brian,

thank you so much! I didn't know was that easy :-) we only need to tick a checkbox.

But now I have another question:

If I tick the Force One Time Payments checkbox what will happen to already existing PayPal subscriptions? I would much prefer them to be unaffected.

Let me know, thanks

Best Regards

Roberto

interesting question - I suspect it might affect existing subscriptions too - but you may want to contact support for a definitive answer to that... unless someone else here knows for certain.
