laszlof
It should be there. Very first option is "Twitter Integration" with a text box to enter your twitter ID.

GGWH-James
what exactly does it do when you integrate twitter in WHMCS? I can see no place to enter tweets etc? How exactly does it work? UKD From what I can tell, Tweets are pulled from Twitter and then displayed within WHMCS.

GGWH-James
Hi thanks but whereabouts? I can't see the pulled in tweets anywhere When I tested this, the Tweets were displayed on the home page of our portal and there was a follow us button added to the right-hand side menu.
ukdeveloper
Hmmm I've logged in both as client and admin and can see nothing to do with twitter at all????
GGWH-James
Hmmm I've logged in both as client and admin and can see nothing to do with twitter at all???? I'm not sure exactly how WHMCS accesses Twitter and am not currently using this feature, I'd only tested it initially, but Twitter has recently made changes to their API which has killed a lot of scripts and applications interfacing with Twitter until they get updated to use the new API. __EDIT__ I just tested this on our Web site and it's still working just fine. I simply put in a Twitter username, saved changes, refreshed our portal homepage, and the Tweets were there. davet
Yes I notice when I now enable this feature in WHMCS it just shows a progress bar on my support page where it is supposed to display my Tweets. Are there plans to fix this within WHMCS so it can access the Twitter API using the new supported method?
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted September 13, 2010 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted September 13, 2010 This will be an issue specific to your installation davet, not these Twitter API updates. Feel free to open a support ticket.
Damo
Yes I notice when I now enable this feature in WHMCS it just shows a progress bar on my support page where it is supposed to display my Tweets. Are there plans to fix this within WHMCS so it can access the Twitter API using the new supported method? I've just encountered the same thing. It works fine locally but once uploaded to the server it stops. (Just discovered it works fine under SSL i.e. https but not http) I'd also like to style the layout (take it out of a list, or apply CSS formatting) but can't find where it's generated/templated from. It's still working fine on our server. We don't actually use it at the moment, but when we put in the account info, it displays properly within the portal.
Damo
As noted above it works when visiting https (which is the way we have the WHMCS System URL specified in settings) but not http. I am still hoping to find out how to format the output. Anyone? I'd also like to style the layout (take it out of a list, or apply CSS formatting) but can't find where it's generated/templated from.
Damo
Answering my own question The feed is templated as well - twitterfeed.tpl
MikeDVB
It wasn't working at all (permanent loading bar) until we visited it over https and then it started working, and now it works over HTTP as well... Weird.

A few days ago I could view tweets but yesterday I encountered the continuous progress bar so I removed it and will check into why it changed suddenly.
