So whats the resolution for this? Re create the packages in WHMCS to check they still store on the server?
-
Actually I had noticed a WHM update, was this public then? Is it a bug in WHMCS API or something reading the new update?
-
Hmm this is even stranger... The packages apparently don't exist in WHM? However they are being set up fine...
-
I have set up so the WHMCS packages will create on the server directly into WHM.

Hello all. Just a problem I have noticed since the update is that my clients cPanel is showing they have unlimited disk space? When on the Automation setup it is stated the ammount they should be allocated? The Bandwidth is showing the correct ammounts. Any help would be appreciated on this one as I am totally stumped. Kind Regards, Andrew.

Thanks Sparky, it was there before, must have missed it out or something. Anyhow would you care to ellaborate on what solved the knowledgebase issue for some users above? Regards, Andrew.
-
What solved the footer problem Sparky?
-
Thanks Sparky. Yeah it was that orignially but still failed so thought I would tweak it
-
Its displaying it, just not correctly sparky, as in the images are not showing nor the login button etc. Thank you Matt for confirming its correct however could anyone provide a sample of what exactly the htaccess file should look like? I cannot see any errors myself in the template and the footer.tpl is present in the folders. Any further ideas why this is not showing? And yes, hence why I am posting here asking for the communities assistance. Matt I would have to disagree that it provides the 'exact' steps but it does provide steps granted. But for a WHMCS first time upgrade virgin it wasn't exactly detailed in my opinion. Any help would be appreciated. Andrew.

The readme.txt file needs to be more detailed, accurate and current for people updating. If your response is to be "Pay for the upgrade service" then why allow any users to update their own files at all. Regards, Andrew

I have a few outstanding problems since the update to v3.8.1. First is my htaccess file, I have removed the .txt and it is now in effect however I need to edit the code as my knowledgebase articles are now pointing to mywhmcs/knowledgebase/catnumber/articlename.html when in fact it should go to mywhmcs/knowledgebase.php/catnumber/articlename.html but after a few hours of fidling around with the htaccess code still cant resolve this issue. Another is my clientareahomepage.tpl is no longer displaying sparkys mod which has the cpanel and webmail login built in. Another is my footer.tpl is not showing on my pages although nothing seems to have changed, our file is there however it doesn't appear that its being called upon from whmcs, which correct me if I'm wrong but should add the footer.tpl automatically? This update has caused so many problems I just want to downgrade now I am seriously fustrated with this update, the readme.txt file we got with the update assumes everyone knows everything about WHMCS and essentially lets the community fix all the outstanding issues themselves, I.E sparky helping everyone etc, I'm sorry but any other software it doesn't work like that at all, a proper update file should be detailed. And I know some who are reading this say, why didn't you get the WHMCS team to update your WHMCS? Well reason is my fellow friends is that they dont cover templates, my interpretation is that they overwrite them which for us is a lot of custom coding. Anyway, I am quite capable of updating files should proper and standard documentation be current. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you to anyone in advance who can help with this matter. Kind Regards, Andrew.

Matt, could you elaborate on which files contain it? When I add the above code it comes up with a fatal error etc?
-
I have been waiting for like a month now for this, just about to give up...
-
I am now having issues where my version says it is correct however I cannot seem to see the actual new features or any changes what so ever. Have re-opened the ticket and awaiting response. Regards, Andrew
-
My WHMCS is now functioning correctly thank to the help of the WHMCS team! In your WHMCS root directory you have a lot of .php files, re uplaod them from the latest release and this should solve your issues. If you have further problems then I suggest opening a ticket! Regards, Andrew. ( Gotta have faith in the WHMCS team eh? )
-
Yeah I am having the same issues as well, you are not alone mate. I have opened a support ticket with WHMCS, in regards to our site we cannot afford to do a fresh install due to the heavy ammount of coding we have already done. I replaced my whole /includes folder and it worked fine however completely destroyed our code. Quite disappointed about this latest upgrade in regards to the documentation on it (how to upgrade properly and a list on which files you need to replace and what code etc) but I have plenty of faith it will be resolved. Regards, Andrew

So is there a date for a stable release? Or speculation on when it may be?
-
1. I have no idea but will have to test with live users should the need arise 2. Where do I get it installed again
-
This occurs when I go to a clients package and click 'change package' I then get a pop up saying do you want to proceed with this etc, click OK and carries out the command but it then says the above and does not let me downgrade or upgrade? Am I missing a simple tick box anywhere? ================= My other problem is in regards to the image verification system, for some reason my images are not showing even though they are activated in the CP? Thanks for your help. Regards, Andrew

By denying all to the admin folder except certain IPs is that safe? Anyone else have other security features to protect themselves? Regards, Andrew
-
An answer to that is create a top admin account and then create a new user with limited options such as yourself and restrict what you like there. But anyway back to the topic...
-
Anyone have any updates on this?
-
What sort of Adwords did you use though and how much should you spend in it? We are also looking into marketing etc, a good one we found was link submissions and SEO techniques have worked well for us in the past. Local advertising is very good also if you target the correct market group. If you have the time think out of the box and target more local business' by writting to them direct!
-
Many developers use it already and it has a very good niche. https://tshosting.com.au/cart.php?gid=10 That is what a regular user called Sparky creates. WHMCS addons and they all have the licensing module in, I myself use them as to many more. It is widely used and highly recomended, if you are that worried you should bring up a ticket and ask if there are any money back guarantees? If the need arises for my business I will purchase it outright, it is very effective and good. Goodluck Regards

Sparky, will this affect robots/spyders/archive robots? i don't think it will but will probably be adding this code in, just need to ensure it doesn't block the above, if it does of which aspects. Regards
