  1. Yeah agreed, I mean even €100 is a lot for a addon module... Its a third of the price for WHMCS! I would pay a max of about €50 and thats on a good day!
  2. Sorry, but 750 Euros?! Are you serious ? I could have something done by a private coder similar to what you are offering here for less than 750 Euros?! Thats more than what WHMCS costs itself! I do hope thats a typo there, if I am correct this is a module/addon, not completely new bit of software. Goodluck with the sales.
  3. It should generate the code in your Admin Area on what the email piping cron is. I suggest you also check out http://wiki.whmcs.com/Email_Piping more specifically http://wiki.whmcs.com/Email_Piping#Common_Problems
  4. Surely go through your emails one by one or employee someone to do it?
  5. Bear, I thank you for your warning and excellent disclaimer on electricity, you truely are the fountain of all knowledge. I agree with you however how did you start? At no point did I say resellers are a get rich quick scheme nor did I state that you should not learn how to become a webhost. At the end of the day whether you like it or lump it new people are going to come into our industry wanting to start, we all started somewhere, all I am saying is that with a good bunch of knowledge and a playground to test things out on, troubleshoot and replicate problems to solve then its better than sitting observing forums when you can do both. Our reseller plans are for serious hosts who are interested in starting a hosting business. We all have to start somewhere as I have said many times and concur that WHT forums and a reseller account is a good starting point to learn, when you begin trading is a completely different discussion and maybe I should highlight as done in previous posts that trading is different to what I am stating my opinion on here. Good come back though bear
  6. Check that the permissions of the file submitticket.php are correct.
  7. I too have recently updated/formated my server and am having some issues with the cron as well. I cannot see any problems my end so have asked my supplier to look into it as some other things seem to be affected as well. At this moment in time I am unsure if they are related to your issues but will let you know if they are or not when I find a resolution. Regards, Andrew.
  8. Obviously if you had read the post correctly then you may not have mis-read my post. I have highlighted the words you need to reference in green for you. You do need an ammount of underpinning knowledge to be able to even start in a practicle environment and I do agree that reading the forums for 6 months would be excellent, however I believe that if you have nothing practicle to work with then you will not learn as well either. If this person gets a reseller account alongside 6 months worth of reading and testing it would be much more benofficial. Please note I am not saying this guy should start trading, there is a difference. Besides we all have to start somewhere.
  9. I believe the levels of tax are specifically for countries that have states with different/additional tax rates. To my understanding it is used the most in the US as you have country tax and then also state tax? Someone correct me if I am incorrect. If your country only uses 1 level of tax, such as VAT then you only need level 1 tax. Remember you need to be VAT registered to legally charge VAT, in the UK anyway.
  10. I agree with the above but have to say sometimes it is better to learn as you go along by problem solving and troubleshooting, researching and asking the questions. If any of you guys tell me that you have learnt more studying a book rather than actually doing a job and learning it then you might as well poke it! Its like saying I can be a Electrician as I have read all the information on it thus I can do it no problem, you have to have on job experience. 1. To answer your qestion, if you buy the owned license, yes you own it forever however have to pay a yearly fee around $40 to receive further updates. When you purchase your license you get 1 year worth of updates free, after that year then you will have to pay a yearly fee if you want 2. You need a domain and website to sell on, often a reseller account to start you off, a good webhost will help you out should you encounter any problems. 3. Buying WHMCS allows you to link to a TOS etc when your clients register. When you have your own domain you can create your own TOS and Privacy policy yes but often you may need to stick to your suppliers. 4. Yes you can customise the homepage and all template files. Live support can be added externally along with a flash design. I think you should note WHMCS is not a website builder, it is a billing and setup software often used by webhosts to work alongside your website. I hope this answers your questions. Regards Andrew.
  11. Unfortunately bear, it is possible for them to exist. But I too would be interested in this response by the OP. I think the OP is asking if there is any discount for non-profit organisations. I would say if you are then you would need to provide the correct documentation and proof to validate yourself and your company.
  12. You can have them add contact details for the WHMCS account which are billing, admin and something else I believe. it may pay to take a look through the wiki on this one
  13. Maybe allow it to be customisable? A few would be: #New orders #Payments complete #New tickets #Ticket response #Server stats #Cancelation requests etc etc etc
  14. If he is ordering for seperate companies in all respects he should have seperate accounts.
  15. Get the client to register a new account on your system would be easy enough?
  16. Thats why ours are heavily protected and we don't store them
  17. So have you come to any sort of decision? I am eager to know your thoughts either way Regards, Andrew.
  18. We are interest in this, as Soft said, do a search on the forums and you will find a LOT of people looking for this. I concur with Sparky on this that it should be part of the core files, although many people who submit their addons such as the 'Maintenance mode' module is now in plans for the next version I think thats a lot of recognition to have your addon implemented into such a godo system as it stands. It is of course your call however consider will you get more interest if it is free or if people have to purchase it? Hope you make the right choice for the community Regards
  19. Yeah I don't think I would want this as a module at all for my company, if someone broke into my system and could download my clients CC numbers at a click of a button that is a serious security breach! If you want this specifically for you then contact WHMCS direct. At least if my server is breached it is encrypted unlike a piece of paper
  20. I have had a little bit of input with Sparky's cPanelTools and concur that it does look very good. Let me know when you have a BETA version and need some opinions Goodluck!
  21. We are using Positive SSL which is a comodo one I believe
  22. If you go to Orders, then click the order number it should take you to a page where you are able to accept/create etc, its completely dependant on your settings.
  23. Perhaps open a support ticket with WHMCS/your reseller to investigate a little more, its probably just a simple fix so I am sure it wouldn't take them long. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
  24. My Quote for the day: We learn something new each day, for this to happen you need a good teacher
  25. Othellotech is correct it only applies to the voucher. You can also limit the voucher to so many uses so you can control it, if you ask people to contact you first all you need to do is move the limit of the voucher up a number This way you can control how many people use the voucher and ensure your customers are correctly using it! Hope this helps.
