We'll likely be moving from ResellerClub to solely Enom in the near future - they've mentioned we can do a bulk transfer but I haven't heard back with any more details.

Is it possible to do a bulk transfer between registrars without the usual transfer process? If so, that would be fantastic and finally move us all away from DirectI.

Chickendippers hit this one on the head, only ICANN or a Registrar can initiate a true bulk transfer when the majority of domains move from one registrar to another.

You do have bulk tools out there, that, or both have very well (well maybe not DI/LB) written API's and Docs to go with it.

We created a transferin tool from eNom to LB and LB to LB, it only took a few days of coding. Thats the wrong way round mind you, but, it would be the same idea.

Quick process, Read domain list for LB, get EPP and contact, unlock domain, login to eNom, setup transfer, create contacts if needed, initiaite transfer

Hey presto :)

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll have to see what the Enom guy meant exactly and get on it :)

Will be worth it for Enom's extra features and support, and being able to offer sub-reseller accounts without wanting to throw things at the LB interface!

The admin control panel does suck really bad, but that is why you use WHMCS to manage all the domains instead of the DirectI/Reseller Club interface. The only reason why I go into the DirectI/Reseller Club interface is to Add Funds. Everything else I do directly through WHMCS instead.

Yes you will, you basically are selling the domians to your resellers, therefore when they add funds, it goes to your payment gateway, so you need to make sure you have funds in your account to allow their account to register domains etc.

How do you set up web forwarding from WHMCS? There is no option for that in the client interface.

I disagree with some of the points. I would say their CP times out at times, iv experienced that. But the design is so comfortable that you can find your way around; everything is in front of you.

Again, I agree with Chicken about the faster response timings. There have been times when I tried shifting over to Enom, but they totally spoilt the impression for me by not even having the decency to reply!

Even post the price hike, I think RC has done well with VFM and Im looking forward to their Free Product Suite which is rather slow in its release but getting there eventually.

RC is cheaper, decently supportive, with friendly interfaces and constant notifications so Im ok with them for now.

I've been using ResellerClub for around 2 years now, and I am pleased with it's service. I have not had any problems at all, and it's very easy to use once the API details have been set up within WHMCS for it.

Here's what I think...

1. Customer Support - slow, but better and quicker than eNom

2. Pricing - brilliant, far cheaper than eNom by far, plus lots of special promotions!

3. Ease of use - the control panel is awful, but it's full of nice options we all need

I have no intentions of returning to eNom, mostly due to their domain pricing, then it would be their customer support. On many times they email back telling me something I knew already, with my problem still unresolved.

Personally I've found DirectI's support more responsive than eNom's.

My support requests are directed through WHMCS as I have a reseller account under them. As usual, WHMCS provides good support and response times.

I've never had to contact resellerclub directly - is this even possible?

As far as enom, I prefer it as I get good pricing on many tld. I also like the simpler interface of enom over RC.

We're a major ResellerClub reseller (1000+ customers, 10k+ domains) and have used their system from the beginning. Whilst its much better than it used to be, its poor....very poor.

They are trying to update the control panel to function more with the supersite integrated, however for non-supersite users this just causes huge problems. In addition to this, from the UK it will take me approx 5 minutes just to login. It's slow, laggy, times out like theres no tomorrow and is just poorly designed.

I had my 'account managed' email me asking me to fill out a survey which was in an email all jumbled up. I told her that it was unreadable and to use a free survey system and resend it. So she decided to phone me to help me debug my mail client (gmail) which obviously must be broken! I told her again, however she said something along the lines of 'You will fill out that survey, or we will take action'. Not good!

If you have the option, go with enom. They provide a much better API, with no stupid 'abuse' limits, and no incompetent staff.

I would appreciate if those using resellerclub module in whmcs to take various, large screenshots of different areas of the module, both admin end and client end.

Please consider using tinypic.com instead of attaching here, since this forum reduces the image size significantly.

Thanks

What planet are you from?

RC are not cheaper, i used then but their prices were higher than what i am using now. I sell my domain directly through 123-reg.

An example; with RC a .uk domain cost base price approx.£6 a year then you have your profit to add to that.

with 123-reg a .uk domain costs £5.98 for the 2 years (retail) and i get £1 commission.

Was using it with eNom side by side but found couldn't compare to eNom generally so moved all domains to eNom.

The site always appeared buggy, slow and not very helpful. We also did not like the support they offered as it was normally slow to actions or seemed like a auto reply to a question.
