I spoke to Matt a month or so ago before 4.4.1 came out. They were looking at a late Jan/Feb time for a fix. Basically from what I gather when the WHMCS module was created, the multi-currency API support didnt exist in kashflow and the module just needs an update to send the currency code through. Really hope it gets sorted soon - its got to the point where I've had to consider alternative options

Hi, We've noticed a huge problem over the last couple of days. It seems MaxMind has suddenly started skipping over an order or two every day. You know you usually get the table of fraud-check results on the bottom of an order, well - its just not there on some orders. There's not even an option to re-run the fraud check. WHMCS just acts as if the module is disabled and makes no attempt to verify the order, and activates it. Could I get a clarification as to whats going on? According to our MaxMind logs, the order is being verified, but nothing is being returned to WHMCS by the looks of it! We've got PLENTY of credits on MaxMind, so its not that. Plus its been running without a hitch on our server for a long time, and we've not had any recent upgrades/changes, so I know its not our server. Any ideas? Cheers

How do you manage whmcs with accounting?
RikeMedia replied to A320guy's question in Pre-Sales Questions
Also really want to know about this. How do others handle WHMCS <=> Quickbooks? -
Hi, I've tried the WHMCS Kashflow module however it seems to have a major flaw. My 'primary' currency on Kashflow is GBP (as all our accounting is UK based). Our hosting services are in USD. There doesnt seem to be anywhere to set the Kashflow module to use a currency you choose. When our cron job runs, it pulls through all the sales as GBP, when they were in USD. Anyone found a way to overcome this problem? The module ends up being useless if it cant sync the data in the correct currency

After talking to a WHMCS support rep, we've come to the following conclusion: There is no way for a host to apply coupons to JUST the hosting package when you use 'configurable options' (or 'recurring product addons' as it should be titled). So, in 99% of cases, VPS/Dedicated providers will loose out: Lets say you run a VPS host, and allow your customers to buy a cPanel license as an addon. No problem, you setup a 'configurable addon'. Now, you've got a promotion on (say, 20% off for life). But obviously you don't want to allow that discount to run on the software licenses (in this case cPanel). You're screwed. Its impossible in WHMCS to apply discounts to a hosting package, without it applying it to the 'configurable addon'. At this point you're probably thinking 'ok, so use product addons instead' - that wont work either as they are one-time payments. To top it off, I was then told if I wanted this 'feature' (which isn't a feature, its something anyone would expect to be included) I would have to pay $100 /hour to have it added in. Very disappointed with WHMCS's lack of responsibility to a clear screw up. This is nothing specialist or complex - its something EVERY VPS/Dedicated provider will run into when running a promotion. (Note: Please no replies from hardcore fanboys - I'm here to use a product, which is failing at the most basic of tasks. Not here to debate if WHMCS is 'cool' or not)

Hi, We've noticed a HUGE problem. If we add a promotional coupon, and select the plans it should work with, it applies the discount to any product addons. How do you stop it from doing this? This is a massive problem for us at the moment. If we offer a discount on say, a VPS server we do not want to offer a discount on a recurring cPanel or DirectAdmin license. Anyone have any idea how to get around this problem? Cheers!

I am so pissed off right now. WHMCS WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO HAVE A DEVELOPER LICENSE UNLESS YOU PURCHASE DIRECTLY FROM THEM. We used a reseller and now can't get a developer license. What possible damn reason could they have?! Its not like customers can get on it! Complete bull....very annoyed and will be going elsewhere. This has got to be the most STUPID move ever. Even AWBS allow developer licenses via resellers!
-
Will this still be ok for those of us who got it from a reseller? If so, great -- thats all I think it needs
-
Did this ever get released?

As I'm sure you're aware, its currently not possible to have a 'local' copy of WHMCS running without getting a 15 day trial license. I have a suggestion. Development/integration of a skin can take much more than 15 days. Why not allow (universally) licenses on the 'localhost' domain. Nobody outside of your local computer can go to 'localhost' so its not like its going to cause any licensing issues. This way, we would all be able to use offline versions for development. This would really help when developing!

We're making our own - almost ready for use (we're not releasing it publicly/selling it, its in-house only). We'll probably also be moving the support desk into the new system as it would allow much tighter integration with the individual control panel areas. Not 100% sure what we're doing billing wise yet. Our plan is to stay with WHMCS for now, however we'll have to see if it would be worth looking into our own custom solution. I do like WHMCS but having control over your own code is a weight off the mind

Ahh great. Thanks Matt -- it's put my mind at ease

We're a major ResellerClub reseller (1000+ customers, 10k+ domains) and have used their system from the beginning. Whilst its much better than it used to be, its poor....very poor. They are trying to update the control panel to function more with the supersite integrated, however for non-supersite users this just causes huge problems. In addition to this, from the UK it will take me approx 5 minutes just to login. It's slow, laggy, times out like theres no tomorrow and is just poorly designed. I had my 'account managed' email me asking me to fill out a survey which was in an email all jumbled up. I told her that it was unreadable and to use a free survey system and resend it. So she decided to phone me to help me debug my mail client (gmail) which obviously must be broken! I told her again, however she said something along the lines of 'You will fill out that survey, or we will take action'. Not good! If you have the option, go with enom. They provide a much better API, with no stupid 'abuse' limits, and no incompetent staff.

I've just been browsing the v4 feature list as we're going to upgrade our v3 soon however saw this: "- Converted client passwords to MD5 irreversible hashed values" I assume its more than just MD5 as MD5 is very easily reversible with modern processing power. Matt, could you let us know if (and why) its just MD5? Thanks

Is there actually a projected or fixed date or is it a 'when its done its done' situation? Just curious as the RC release thread didn't specify anything regarding a gold release.

Took ages to load and looked pretty disorganized tbh. A lot of work needed Hate the orange and white by the way...sorry, but it just doesn't work.

Hi, Liking the script however have a question. If for any reason you stopped selling or your license server went offline (assuming there is a license server, I dont know how you're working this) will our script stop working? Basically can it carry on running even if you disappear? Thanks

Free Ticket Track Application Released !
RikeMedia replied to elitbir's topic in Third Party Add-ons
Try running it under Crossover 8.0 Alpha -
I have to agree. If you've made a paid app, I see no problem in it. But if you've made a free add-on there really is no reason for it. Seriously, would you install something into your companies system not knowing what it contains and what it can do? It would be very foolish to install a script. I don't mean to sound like I thin you've put something in there, but I'm sure you can see where I'm coming from here.

Sorry, wheres the content that goes inside the template kept?

Also having the same problem here.
