No e-invoice? Really?

Do you really want to lose your last customers from Europe? E-invoice is mandatory from 1.1.25! How do you imagine that? We Europeans will have no choice but to look for something new.

Invoicing is a core component/ fundamental feature of WHMCS. How can you be inactive in this area? Unbelievable!

I am from Germany and I read this: https://ec.europa.eu/digital-building-blocks/sites/display/DIGITAL/eInvoicing+in+Germany

Starting from 01/01/2025:
The priority of paper invoices will be eliminated.
Every company can send e-invoices. During the first two years, paper invoices may still be sent. Other electronic invoice formats (PDF, etc.) may only be sent with the recipient's consent.

Important: "..may only be sent with the recipient's consent."

This means that if the recipient refuses to send the invoice via email/PDF, I have to send it by post/paper because WHMCS cannot do e-invoice.

So it's 2027 before it is fully required.

I would imagine you will have very few clients, if any, from 1/1/25 that will not give consent to a PDF invoice.

Try emailing your clients and request their consent. For those that don't you can post the invoice out. That creates more work for the client as well and I'm sure they would revert to PDF.

These changes take years to implement when they get introduced by the EU. It's not an instant switch in this instance.

The e-invoice is mandatory in Romania as well, and because it cannot be sent via whmcs I am forced to use all sorts of workarounds. From 01.01.2025 it is mandatory to send both the tax invoice by email and the e-invoice which is sent to the financial institution in our country.
