Limit client to 1 instance of product?

Hello,

I am using the Licensing addon and am curious if there is a way to limit a client to only 1 instance of a product. The reason is because, I would like to offer a trial of my product that auto expires after 7 days. If they then purchase the product, all they would have to do is re-order the trial to download the updated version each time I update the trial. Or am I missing something?

I just don't want clients to be able to download updates via the trial if they don't have the support and updates addon purchased.

Let me know if there's a better way to do this, or if I'm missing something all together.
