Today we're taking a look at Tags & Item Prefix in threads.  


Tags are a great way to let users see the version you are asking about or the area you are looking at.  Tags can also be clicked on to view topics with the same tag included as well.  To add a tag, when creating your topic, just below the title you'll see the Tags Box, simply enter in your tags separated by commas.  As an example, if you are asking about the MarketConnect in Version 7.3.0 use tags like MarketConnect,7.3.0 this will create two separate tags with MarketConnect as one and 7.3.0 as a second one.


Choose your main tag as a prefix, if we're using MarketConnect as the Primary topic click Item Prefix then click the box next to MarketConnect


That's all there is to using Tags & Prefixes, we really recommend using tags in your threads, this helps to keep threads sorted, and grow a repository of useful posts making it easier for you to find your answer!

      At the bottom of every Knowledgebase Article, there is a tag symbol, and then two tags "Email, SSL".  It doesn't matter what real tag I have added for the article, it only shows "Email, SSL" for every article.  I have read the documentation on Knowledge Base Tags, but it only talks about the tag cloud (which seems to work OK) but not this end-of-article list of tags. 

      Any pointers on either removing this, or fixing it so it shows the real tags assigned to the article, would be greatly appreciated!

      Hey guys.. so.. I love the ability to have a tag cloud and I think that is great.. however, I am wondering if anyone of you out there knows how we can add in tags to the articles themselves.
      An example would be the 'Most Viewed' articles.. we would like to have listed with each article it's assigned tag(s) from staff.. then having those tags be link-able to search for other articles with similar tags.
      This would be in much the same way that blogs would show tags. Though I like the tag cloud.. I would rather each article show it's tags as a reference.
      So perhaps a {foreach from=$kbmostviews item=kbarticle}<li><a href="#"><span>{$kbarticle.tag}</span></a></li>{/foreach} -- though I know this is not right. I have tried debugging and it doesn't seem that tags are in any items array.
      I do hope this makes sense and I will gladly explain further if needed.
