Mass Mail SMTP Error

MJHost

Recommended Posts

Okay, so this is a new problem for us.

We use the Mass Mail function quite regularly, and have just come across an error, saying:

SMTP Error: Could not authenticate.

We followed the documentation from WHMCS, and edited configuration.php, adding the:

$smtp_debug = true;

This has resulted in the following information:

CLIENT -> SERVER: EHLO http://www.mjhost.co.uk

CLIENT -> SERVER: AUTH LOGIN

CLIENT -> SERVER: ************************=

CLIENT -> SERVER: ******************

SMTP ERROR: Password command failed: 535 Incorrect authentication data

SMTP Error: Could not authenticate.

CLIENT -> SERVER: QUIT

SMTP Error: Could not authenticate.

This has started occurring today, we have made no changes, and the password is correct. (We even tried a password change to make sure)

Anyone able to offer any advice, or suggestions? Greatly appreciated.
