durangod
I went on the addons site https://www.whmcs.com/appstore to check out some stuff and i wanted to leave a discussion comment but everyone i checked the discussion is either broken or wont work. So i decided to look at the source. I found this <a name="discussion"></a> <div class="page-header"> <div class="styled_title"><h2>Discussion</h2></div> </div> So looks like to me they decided to remove the link for discussions.
Alex - Arvixe
I'd imagine something is broken & needs fixing otherwise they would have removed the 'Discussion' header also. If that is the case they will probably look into it after coming across this thread. If not, then heads up the Discussion header needs removing .
Administrators WHMCS John Posted August 25, 2014 Administrators Share Posted August 25, 2014 Hi, I'm still seeing the Facebook social plugin from here, maybe you have an ad blocker or similar that's removing it from your browser? Is there a particular listing for which it's not being displayed?
durangod
some of us dont have facebook, we log in via google or one of the other options. when we do that especially on IE you can type text but there is no button to click to submit it. Used to be last month when i used FF or CR at least there was a button there but now there is nothing, not even the option to type. I dont have any ad blockers.
Alex - Arvixe
@John - It would appear it is being blocked having been marked as 'unsafe'. Manually accepting it makes it appear.
Administrators WHMCS John Posted August 26, 2014 Administrators Share Posted August 26, 2014 Hi, Labelled unsafe by whom? At what URL are you seeing this problem? For example http://www.whmcs.com/appstore/306/Fixed-Invoice-Data.html It's loading fine from here in Firefox 31, Chrome 36 and IE 11 - no security warnings.
Alex - Arvixe
I see now. 'Discussions' won't work over HTTPS which is what the OP linked to in this thread. Accessing it via HTTP (what is linked to on whmcs.com) then it works fine.
sentq
@John try this one and you can the warning: https://www.whmcs.com/appstore/306/Fixed-Invoice-Data.html

malfunction
Didn't even know there was a discussion area, with the two tracking scripts on the page blocked in my browser I don't see it, just a "Discussions" <h2> heading with nothing following it. Not that I want to work with with a bunch of mods that have not been vetted and may or may not work with my system or even be supported at all, but just to verify the OP.
durangod
Yeah i agree, not to get off topic but i do think they should develope an approval process which includes a code review. A good programmer can spot something that is not right (as far as dangerous or malicious) in a module very quickly. I too would love to believe that everyone is of good character, but sadly thats not reality. Im not saying they should do so to the level of some software although i wouldnt mind myself. But i think that might upset some people. I just think they should at least at a minimum look at it and at least have someone review it in a secure controlled way as to not risk commercial mods getting leaked to the market. Think about it, WHMCS approval means more module sales which has so many positive results in the chain..
Administrators WHMCS John Posted August 28, 2014 Administrators Share Posted August 28, 2014 Hi, Ahh yes I see now, the problem only occurs when accessing via https:// Please access to app store over a regular http:// connection. Only our client area and order form would be using a secure connection.
malfunction
Makes no difference, still doesn't work if you have the tracking scripts on the page blocked and the discussion button does nothing: /http://i.imgur.com/mXkIp3D.png
Infopro
You might want to modify your ghostery settings a bit.
malfunction
No thanks, I can easily forgo whatever those "discussions" consist of in favor of maintaining some semblance of privacy.
Infopro
Staying logged out of Facebook is another way to go of course. If you don't use Facebook, blocking the script doesn't provide you much more privacy.
