vastanlid
Hi, Domain renewals are giving error: Domain Renewal Failed - Domain ID: XXX - Domain: example.com - Error: This is an active domain, hence no need to renew it This specific domain was expired day before (Enom) the client payment came and invoice marked paid. Everything has been working on the renewals before, but this came after 5.2.4 update. Any ideas why? Thanks. scurrell
We're getting the same issue on recently expired domains, but we're still on 5.1.2
sohouk
I'm getting this on 5.0.3 so it looks like it may be an Enom message being returned to WHMCS Trevor
bear
Same here, on an even older version, Namecheap (which is basically Enom).
scurrell
Had another 10 domain renewals fail this morning with this error. It's a real pain having to renew them all manually at Enom.

When press a Renew in management, and confirm, give me the next error: Error: This is an active domain, hence no need to renew it Any Solutions to this bug
Administrators WHMCS John Posted August 13, 2013 Administrators Share Posted August 13, 2013 Hi, This suggests the domain is in a different status in WHMCS to eNom, so that's something worth checking.
Chris74
Seen this happen on a few Enom domains with a different billing system before we switched to WHMCS - could never work out what the cause was, but it seemed more likely to be an issue with the domain at Enom rather than anything else. It seemed to happen for a day, then suddenly stop - as if there was a temporary issue at Enom.
Organic
Has anyone found a fix for this? Having the same issue on 5.2.7
rob2
we also get the issue at Version: 5.1.7
frisco
This is still an issue in 5.2.12 -- seems like renewals that hit eNom on the expiration date are failing if eNom has already expired the site, but succeed if the WHMCS job happens to hit minutes or hours earlier. The bug needs to be fixed - it leaves domains expired even after paid renewal by client until admin gets involved.
othellotech
have you got 'auto-renew- turned on at enom - i've seen them return that message when its enabled
scurrell
have you got 'auto-renew- turned on at enom - i've seen them return that message when its enabled We've got the same issue, when payment is made the day after expiry. We don't have auto-renew enabled at Enom.
