WHMCS - Support Team Enhancements

Greetings to all.

As mentioned in Matt's blog post located here:

WHMCS - Support Team Enhancements

There's been some added strain on resources here at WHMCS recently and more people are being brought in from over at cPanel to help catch up on all things, WHMCS related. Technical support of course, as well as forum help. That's where I come in.

I'm sure at least a few here on these forums have noticed me hanging around the cPanel forums, I've been over there for many years now. My username there is the same as here. From today on I'll be assisting the WHMCS staff with forum maintenance and do my best to keep these forums moving in the proper direction and trouble free.

I have been assisting the cPanel forums team in keeping those forums operating as expected for many years. When the cPanel and WHMCS Partnership was announced over on the cPanel forums a while back, I dropped in over here to take a look around and decided I might volunteer to try to help where I could here, as well. My offer was accepted by Matt Pugh and Aaron Phillips and so here I am.

Right now I'm going thru many moderated threads and posts, cleaning up spam and approving posts that have slipped thru the cracks. You'll be noticing many old threads seemingly bumped with new posts, and new but outdated new threads appearing due to this. I wanted to make sure I mentioned that this is the reason for that, so that you're all aware of whats happening. New spam control measures are being put in place and we'll be seeing much less of that around here soon.

To all valued customers of cPanel and WHMCS, I just want to say on behalf of both of these fine companies, I apologize for the delay in some of your posts and threads getting thru around here and will do my best to make sure things get turned around in that regard very quickly and that we keep up now, properly. Once I've cleared away the spam, and approved all moderated comments, I'll be going thru the forums to make sure those comments have been posted to the proper areas and try and get things organized a bit nicer as Matt Pugh and Aaron Phillips have tasked me in doing.

If you're a spammer, or a troublemaker, and you're reading this getting ready to post spam or cause disruption to these forums, I am going to be your least favorite person on these forums, trust me on that.

I hope you'll bear with me a bit while I get settled in. I will be available on these forums, just like the cPanel forums, every day of the week. If I can help out replying to forum posts I will, but my job here is more of keeping these forums operating as expected so that this great community can interact with each other without the annoying problems most forums face these days. These problems will not be going to go away overnight, but I'll be here to make sure it's as limited as possible.

Thanks!

Hi Infopro, welcome to the forums.

Do you plan to continue censoring/deleting the comments which talk about the total lack of support here at WHMCS lately, as the staff before you seems to have been doing?

I think it's important for everyone to know the current state of things so that corrective action can be taken. All the censorship here in the forums lately has just made this place seem entirely fake.

Hi Infopro, welcome to the forums.

Have you already seen this? http://blog.whmcs.com/?t=57970

"Spamming" the forum with new threads and posts claiming the support is not replying or reporting the lack of support will not in any way help anybody.

WHMCS and the team are going througt some processes... the recently hack to their server, the partnership with cPanel, etc... i think all you guys should calm down and going smothly with the support team.

I have waited weeks before opening a ticket asking for the reseller/netearthone registrar module to fix the problem of the "state missing" on transfers... i prefered to transfer them manually instead of asking WHMCS for it, because i respect them and i can imagine how busy they are at this moment.

WHMCS help us to build and grow a business, and for the price the software costs, i will not expect them to reply my tickets in 24 hours.

Note: After some weeks i decided to open yesterday a ticket requesting the patch... 5 minutes after open the ticket, i got a reply back with the patch. Some things take just a few minutes... others can take days to be solved. Please give a break to WHMCS Support Team, i'm sure they are trying to make all they can to solve all the tickets they have in queue.

@cenourinha, good post, I agree with you. Thanks for commenting.

@Invictus, no offense to you, or your question to me here meant, but on every forum I have ever managed, there was no censorship permitted, by me, and there will be none here from me now, either. With that said, please keep in mind that once the problem is known about, and changes in course are put in place, repeated pressuring on the point and insults are not only not helpful, they become annoying and unwarranted. And, most any forum admin, commercial website or hobbyist site, will remove that sort of thing. That's just how things are.

I am in no way stating that's what you're doing of course, I just want to make clear where we are here right now.

This forum was configured to moderate posts of new users in an effort to slow down spam. That configuration and these forums are in the process of going thru some changes as to how things work and I am the one making those changes, for the better of this forum community, I hope. Those changes are not yet completed for a variety of reasons but I want to assure you that I am on top of this forum and I won't let you or this community down.

We will make it better, you have my word on that.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry, I didn't mean to direct that question at you personally, I actually have no idea who is responsible for all the censorship here.

I'm not talking about spam, promoting other commercial products, or insults/flaming. Those should be deleted of course.

At any rate, I'm happy to know it's not being done by you and that you are here to help. cPanel is renowned for their amazing support and high quality, dependable products.

This concerns me a a little - Welcome Chuck of course.. and this is nice to see, but .. being that you are a cPanel native - and that's "OK" - what about people that run PLESK? Windows? Is there going to be any more support for that? It's seems very lacking and kind of frightening at this point due to the partnership.

Welcome to the show Chuck... :)

I am a bit curious. Are you now the "head" moderator here? What of of Bear, John et al ? Are you the only moderator that came over from cPanel?

Again welcome aboard.

Roger i have seen Bear around, but i think he is not on as much as he used to be due to other commitments
