ffeingol
Hello, With the announcement that Kayako V4 will enter beta this week (http://blog.kayako.com/2010/08/v4-its-alliiiiiveeee/) where does the integration with WHMCS and Kayako stand? We're not going to instantly jump on the upgrade bandwagon but we do need to know that the integration will still work. Thanks
disenioweb
first kayako will have to fix all the bugs currently have in this version ( 4 errors navigating the helpdesk with firefox or explorer )
mylove4life
I'm sure the current integration will not work... better to wait to see if I comes out sometime down the road..
ffeingol
I'm also quite sure that the initial V4 release will be bugging which is why we will not immediately go to it. Having said that we'd still like to know that the WHMCS staff is working on the V4 integration.
laszlof
Isn't the Supportsuite integration done by Kayako themselves? The module is distributed with supportsuite afterall.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted August 2, 2010 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted August 2, 2010 Yes, you'd need to check with Kayako to find out if they plan to develop a new WHMCS integration for eSupport 4.

christopherdowns
Kayako have indicated developing a V4 plugin is not top priority and they will be slow in doing so
laszlof
The current one isnt all that spectacular anyways. I may go ahead and make my own integration module.
jnet
V4 is not what I want to upgrade to.
Snowman
i got the impression they didnt want to do a plugin for it and that they were throwing it back at whmcs to do it...
heapmaster
I dont know if any one else is working on a kayako WHMCS integration, but I am and once tested and completed I will release its source code on both Kayakos forums and WHMCSs forums. It will be just like it was in v3 but will be for kayako v4 and loginshare as well.
ws4210
You will need to wait another year for kayako to becomes enough bug free you can upgrade. Don't hurry
ravotech
Kayako v4 is pretty feature complete now with a completed API and satellite helpdesk feature now built in. There is no real reason not to upgrade to v4 at the moment, apart from the lack of integration with whmcs.
bear
Kayako v4 is pretty feature complete now with a completed API and satellite helpdesk feature now built in. There is no real reason not to upgrade to v4 at the moment, apart from the lack of integration with whmcs. And all the missing features that had been in prior versions. It was rushed to market, but slowly, if that makes sense. They had worked on it for so long they needed to release to start selling it. The requirements to run it are huge, and the bloat is unbelievable. I'll continue to use v3 until it's unsafe, then move off to something else, most likely.
openmind
Got to agree with that, I upgraded to v4 and within a week downgraded back to v3 as I felt it was a huge backwards step...
CSNM-Carl
Still missing the SMS alerts & mass reply too, 2 must have features before I can even upgrade.
