  1. The only way that you can install a ssl on shared hosting is if you purchase a dedicated IP but Hostgator does not offer dedicated IP's on their shared hosting.(Yes you can have a dedicated IP on shared for a small additional fee per month)
  2. We too are moving away from enom and going with NetEarthOne, and now that NEO has the ssl reseller program, its even better. Also we use cPanel. Works great for us...
  3. I would like to give clients that register a domain name with me a small 25 to 50mb hosting package automatically when a domain name is registered. Does anyone have a workable solution for this or otherwise advise me on how to do this?
  4. This may sound stupid but for the time being could you not do it like a promotion type of thing. If they order let's say 35 items to be picked up and you want them to pay 10% you would set up a code, like pickup or something like that or even the word balance, and then give this promo a discount of 90%. You would have to make a note on the invoice that this is just a deposit payment.
  5. Are you looking at the reseller prices or the prices to the public on their web site. Check out the reseller prices and you will see that they are much lower then ENOM and believe it or not GODADDY and in my opinion they have the higher prices on their web site so that they do not compete with you.
  6. NetEarthOne, is by far the better of the two. Still have about a8 domains with Enom but will be switching about a month before expiration. NetEarthOne works great with WHMCS.
  7. When we went from clientexec to WHMCS we did not have a problem with the subscription service using PayPal. Each clients subscription was added manual to the product page. Changed notification URL to match the WHMCS and we do recieve all info and accounts get credited properly. Technically you are not changing gateways, because you are still using the PayPal gateway. PayPal gateway is PayPal gateway. The person who told you that you had to change gateways may have misunderstood and thought that you were changing something else. We have been using Paypal since 2001 and have changed a few times. with no problem. The only thing that took long to change was the company name.
  8. Wouldn't it be easier just to use the whmc domain widget on your html page?
  9. We have been using PayPal for more then 7 years and have never had a problem with them. Did have a problem with ebay back in 2003 but not PayPal...
  10. Go to your enom account. Click Domains - Avanced settings - Register a nameserver- Once you are on the register a nameserver page follow the instructions and you should have no problems.
  11. The new site is up and we did have a problem with the order pages but I think that we have fixed that. https://www.fdwhostingco.com/whmcs
  12. I don't know what to tell you except what we are doing. We have a notice on our form for submitting the support ticket that says spam mail will cause the spammer's IP to be blocked for one year, then when we get the spam we do block it on WHMCS and in our cPanel. (WE were getting at least ten a day) now it is down to about one a day.)
  13. Have now created a e-mail template for my self to send to the email address that these people have listed in their e mail to me. I indicate that I too have recently come into a fortune but am unable to claim it in my name because I am on disability and claiming this money would hinder my disability status etc. All responses should go to the email of the guy who sent me the info regarding my other fortunate circumstances the week before.
  14. Thanks All for your input. Was working on it but did something, I don't know what, and started to get a blank page. Going to just use the original portal for now till we can get this straight. (We are in the slow process of redoing the website, but leaving everything up as is till it is done.) Thanks again. Janina
  15. We didn't do much, just a wee bit of integration. https://www.fdwhostingco.com/whmcs/index.php Will work on it more later.
  16. You should be able to adjust these using the .css files.
  17. Gee that boat or log your relatives came in on must have been very sturdy and large because I think mine were their with yours. Have they offered to cut the fees by 80% yet? Best thing to do is use the name of the director of the CIA and the address of the main government building for this. As far as passport tell them to call a certain phone number and give them a special code so that they can be verified (The number should be to your police precinct or some other fraud investigation agency in you local area that you have contacted and set this up) Doesn't stop them but it does make them move on a bit.
  18. Boy you should see some of the stuff that has been leaking through in my WHMCS too. All You Can Do is just ban the IP's at this point.

  20. Turn Key Internet is pretty good also. http://www.turnkeyinternet.net/web-hosting-reseller/ You may want to go to http://www.webhostingtalk.com/ and check out some reviews there and the offers section.
  21. If you are going to do the deposit using PayPal or credit card through the website then yes you need to enter $100.00 (a small processing fee is taken out) If you are going to mail in a deposit then it can be any amount that you choose and there is no fee taken out. You have two places to mail it into. One address is for overnight mail and immediate posting to your account and the other will take a few days.
  22. We have used Enom since 2007, but lately have been using netearthone more (Since October of last year). I have found netearthone more helpful in the support area then ENOM and we are slowly moving our domains out to netearthone. The first three no problems. The two that we have just done it took longer then it should. First there were problems with the EPP codes then ENOM took it's time to release them. (They released them only after a support ticket was filled out. Were told that our supplier was responsible for support but explained that this really had nothing to do with a tech problem but a problem of unauthorized holding. Domains released that same day.
  23. I believe if you go to http://tshosting.com.au/whmcs.php you will find a module there that will suite your needs. It's called Shopping Basket. I have gone to the dattatec web site and this seems to fit what you are looking for, but I don't know how well it will integrate with the front pages of your website. You may want to ask Sparky to help you create one for the front pages.
  24. Me neither, and it seems that just when I think I got it right, a newer version comes along and have to start all over again. Oh well, if life didn't have these little challenges it would somehow be very boring.
