How would you explain "What Is Web Hosting" ?
ninak replied to b.ahmed's topic in General Discussion
(line 1)Try to imagine the web host as the building where you will have your internet company and here in this building, just as in a physical company/business/store you rent space for your products and all the equipment to make your business grow. (line2) This building is the server, now you do need an address or at the very least a street name for your business. (line3) That's what your url is, a physical address for your web site so that it can be found on the map (search) of the net. -

I don't know if this will help you. What is a web host? -
That is kind of rude on your part. In a WEB DESIGN class that our daughter was taking one of the major concerns was that students needed to remember. If it works don't knock it. I happen to believe that Slum Hosting has a very original design. Not one that would work for me but It may be great for them.
-
Doing that creates a lot of people trying to sign up just for the free hosting. That is not a very good way to do it, but thank you anyway.

Don't know if this has been asked before but how can I automatically add a small hosting package to the domain registration. Using promos would require many different ones because of the different domain prices and I do not want to go that way.

We are a company that deals heavily with non-profit organizations. So price originally was an issue. We had gotten WHMCS free with the reseller package and found it great to use. When we moved to another company they did not offer WHMCS so I am happy to say that we got our own and the $15.95 is well worth it. There are many other billing programs but they seem to be missing one thing or another. To me it seems that with WHMCS you get more then you pay for.

Thank you John for helping solve the problem.

We have purchased our own liscense and have installed the whmcs on the new server. Uploaded the database backup. (This was done last week) We did a test account and everything worked fine. Today won't create an account in whm and if you manually create the account you can't get to cPanel by the link in the clients account. Also getting cron php escalation errors. What could have happened since yesterday. This is the error message that I get when I try to create the account through WHMCS Module Command Error (Curl Error) Couldn't resolve host '' - code: 6

Going from reseller supplied WHMCS to leasing on my own.
ninak replied to ninak's question in Pre-Sales Questions
Thank you all for helping me to decide. Transferring the WHMCS was one of the stalling reasons. -

The thing is that I may also be moving my accounts to another server. -

ninak posted a question in Pre-Sales Questions
Would I have to recreate my whole database or can a backup zipped file be used to transfer the clients and products from one to the other? -
netearth is also increasing - $0.48 for .com and $0.42 for .net
-
Thank you, I did find that this morning purely by accident. When you do a search it does not appear. Will be looking into it. Thank you again.
-
Is anyone using a module to link to netearth hosting. I got the api kit from them but it looks all alien to me and would not know where to begin. So if anyone already has one can you share or tell me how to get it put into my whmcs.
-
It sounds like a good idea, but (the inevitable but again) people would have to be careful not to have an overbearing order form like godaddy's.
-
I want to add a small hosting package to domain registration. I create a package for when someone only registers a domain name but how would I add this to the order form section so that it does not show domain registration options on the top tab. Or that it does show them like normal but the package would be included automatically with registration. (Currently I have set up the package, but in the order form, the domain registration tab appears on top and this package is listed in a separate group. If I enter not to show domain registration for this package there is no place to enter the domain name, if I enter to show domain registration the three choices appear [domain registration; domain transfer; or will set up ns server] the first two are ok, but that last one needs to be taken out just for this package. How can I do that?) I hope I explained it right.

Friends and family always seem to forget, and trying to educate them is a trip to no mans land.

I have no idea what this is, nor does it answer the questing I sent along. Please answer my question and then we can go from there. Skip Sponheim The client gets the copy of his support ticket and it is marked as answered in WHMCS and which ever department it was to go to gets a copy of both in their e-mail notification. I hope this explained it. (none of our departments have the same e-mail address.)

A question about WHMCS + Enom Reseller and deposits
ninak replied to perius's topic in General Discussion
If you use the mail in option for filling your account, you do not have to send $100. You can send in a minimum of 8.95 to cover one domain. (be sure to put your user name on the check or money order.) If you refill using a credit card or PayPal a small fee is charged. There are two addresses for mail in payments. One is for Overnight mail and the other is for normal delivery (usually gets to your account in about 4 to 6 days.) -
I asked this question a few days ago but it seems to have flown away someplace. When a client submits a support ticket, we get a copy in our email, but we also get a copy of the email and it shows that we are the sender and the support ticket gets marked as answered before we can even answer it. Is there something that we should do to fix this.
-
Yes we got that message also but I believe it only applies to resellers that have enom collect the payment from client. If the money is deducted from your account then it doesn't apply.
-
Thank you for that suggestion. I have looked into it. Yes it seems to be easy to use but it is not what we we're looking for. I really like the fact that the other one is not on my server. I may be a pessimist when it comes to things like this so I am a bit limited in what I will use and what I will not. But thank you anyway.
-
Don't really like a chat program but I decided on Comm100. Like it so far, Thanks for the suggestion, very easy to use.

We had the same problem, In the code for the image <"img src=http it should be <img src="http Once you move that quote mark to the right place it works fine.
