I never had this problem before. Using 5.02 and have not changed anything. Smarty Error: [in emailtpl:emailmessage line 17]: syntax error: unrecognized tag '' Smarty Error: [in emailtpl:emailmessage line 17]: syntax error: unrecognized tag: color: #0000ff; Smarty Error: [in emailtpl:emailmessage line 17]: syntax error: unrecognized tag: font-family: verdana; font-size: 11px; font-weight: normal; Would it be beneficial to re-uplaod only certain files into my whmcs to make sure that nothing is missing? Or is some other problem going on.

Oh for Pete's sake grow up. Take a good look at the internet world and realize that the world is not perfect, the internet is not perfect, humans are not perfect. Matt and the people at WHMCS are doing a great job in my book. You want to leave THEN LEAVE. Your remarks about the hosting and someone's web design is very childish/snobish especially since you don't let people see your site.
-
I know all of that. Perhaps I worded it wrong but I was trying to make people see that if their site was down, it was not WHMCS but something on their end.
-
Can some one explain to me how other then the WHMCS site was down. As far as I know when you purchase or lease the Software, you host it on your hosting account and not on the WHMCS server. Also I believe that your Company/business information is public information on whois. The only info that would not have been public would have been the passwords, credit card numbers. Regardless of the number of credit cards that you may own you always have the right to cancel your card, change it or whatever. The attacks on WHMCS could have happened to anyone. Lighten up people and give Matt and the crew time and support. Refund/credit for what? Did your site go down? If it did then that's a problem on your end and not WHMCS.

Believe it or not but many of the registrars do the same thing. Enom, you have to add a minimum of $100 if you are adding using PayPal or credit card or wire service, but they only credit your account $90 something dollars. Earthnet takes out the fees too, but they are not that bad.

I think that you should check with Netearthone. I believe that they are no longer selling from this company.
-
We have used netearthone for almost a year now and have never had to deposit any particular amount. as our primary business is hosting and not domain registration, we keep a small amount (enough to pay for perhaps two or three domains) in our netearthone account. There have even been times that the order was for a larger amount then we had but you can pay as you get the money. Just make sure that you are diligent with your accounts, be aware of every order that comes in.
-
We also have been using http://www.netearthone.com and find the service and people there to be more likeable and knowledgeable then at enom. We are here in American and they are in UK but will call you if needed to go over and explain things. Great company, Great staff.

It wasn't the "s" or the "z" that he was writing about. It was that the letter "i" was missing but it has since been fixed.

We received the same email and were wondering how it will affect the api in whmcs. since the new version is not out yet, will this be looked into?
-
Somebody please send me info on how to be not excited. The preview has done a number on my nervous system. It's all a jitter and can't wait for this new version. Maybe I need a chill pill or something but this looks real good and patience seems to be eluding me. Great job guys.

A while ago we wanted to something similar to this based on sending funds to the Children's Asthma research. PayPal had at that time told us that we could not do this as we were not registered as charity fund raisers. Here in Florida you must be registered to even sit outside a building with a can. We were told that the best way to do this was to have a direct link to the website of the organization and let the client choose what they want to do but in no way could we hold funds for the organization. We also at the time had asked about setting up something like giving a percentage of the sale to an organization of the clients choice, but again the registered fundraiser question was an issue. From what I understand, you cannot hold funds for any charity organization unless you are a registered fund raiser for that charity and the funds must go directly to the organization and not held by you for distribution.

Duplicate installation's config to another domain
ninak replied to PCGH's question in Pre-Sales Questions
It may not be supported but it is possible if the 2 sites are on the same cPanel (one would be an add-on domain) The only draw back is that whatever products appear on one site will also appear on the other. I know this is possible because when I first got reseller hosting a free whmcs was included. I used it for a while but wanted my own. Shortend the name of our domain, added it as an addon and got my own whmcs. For a while they shared one database till we got everything relocated. You do have to make sure that the configuration file points to the same database. -
You can say that again. There support will even call you if you can't call them.

Your best solution is to contact the security council with your specific questions. They would be the ones to give you any real information. -
WHMCS credit card storage - PCI level/Gateways

Go to https://www.pcisecuritystandards.org/ It will answer many or your questions. -
We use Netearthone. Their support is much better then enoms.

Last night some one tried to log into my WHMC using the username that I tend to use in forums. Thank goodness for the login failure reporting system or I would not have become aware of the situation. Just take a warning from me folks, never use the same username in forums that you would use for your important stuff. (I have the IP saved and will be doing some research)

What method of accepting credit cards do you use/like?
ninak replied to nexthost's topic in General Discussion
We used Bankcardusa.com about two years ago. In the beginning they were ok but after a few months they kept changing fees on us even in months that there was no credit card action. -
I think Ernie and the staff at Hudson Valley are great and always there when you need them.
-
Ok now confused. Why send someone to a thread from 2002???? Does not even mention the company that I have mentioned.
-
Here is a company that has a great support staff. http://www.hudsonvalleyhost.com/vps-reseller.php

Hostgator automatically puts a reseller account on a dedicated IP (not server) and all of this resellers clients will have that IP, but if one of the clients needs a dedicated IP for his SSL then you do have to go through hostgator to add the ssl and they create a dedicated IP for this client. Ergo the cost currently is $10.00 On the shared hosting (not reseller) it is the same. Every one shares the server and the allocated IP but you may add an ssl only to a dedicated IP. Hostgator does this for you for a charge of $10.00. (They do not charge an additional monthly fee for dedicated IP) The main thing is that you do need a dedicated IP for ssl to be installed properly no matter who installs it.
