Google Chrome

I love Google Chrome, it uses less CPU than any other browser, so it doesn't "hog" the resources. I also find it faster than all the other browsers, it's clean looking, easy-to-use and it opens up quicker than anything else! I did like Safari, that's my second choice, but I found it slower so that's why I switched.

I'm so glad Windows Internet Explorer is losing many users, it's an awful browser and there are more viruses available that are able to "attach" themselves to it - not good. Get downloading Chrome and see how good it really is yourself.

Good comments from dkent. I like Chrome a lot. It is very lean and I especially like each tab opening in its' own sandbox. I don't use it much since I am a dedicated FF user. But, I may start to use it a lot more as it is no marginal browser in any way. IE is sitting on its' laurels IMHO. Opera is lush and I really do like it. I have all mainstream browsers for testing purposes and tend towards the cutting edge of development, somewhat riskily, perhaps. But that turns me on.

Another aspect of Chrome I respect and enjoy is the Open Source development framework and it is early days yet. I am excited to find out what happens next with Chrome. It will certainly shake up FF and has already. A good contender anyway.

My advice is to keep it installed and cutting edge just to see what happens. Play with it as much as you can. It is here to stay anyway. Try not using any other browser for just one month to put it through its' paces and get to understand it better. That will be time well spent, even if you do revert. This is especially valuable time if you are a web developer. You never know what you might discover. ;)

Kind regards,

Chris

i ran it for a while, tho dont like the fact that you cant access many of the google toolbar functions, like PR (when looking at other sites im always interested to see what their PR is).

Back onto FF after a long stint staying away from it.

Lots of vague responses! I'll try to be less vague!

Google Chrome is definitely a faster browser for heavy Javascript/Flash sites. Don't know if you'd notice a difference for non-heavy-javascript sites.o

However, Firefox has the plugins, so mostly wins the day for me. I'm not sure which I need, but Firebug, the various PR and SEO plugins come to mind.

If you could combine Chrome's speed and Firefox's plugins into one browser, I'd go there in a flash!
