cron job is working on whmcs 4.4.2 after admin rename andpassword protect?
Lawrence replied to hostsun's topic in Using WHMCS
It has been a while since I used Lynx, but I believe the "auth" parameter is what you may be looking for -auth=ID:PASSWD ID will be the user name for the password protection, and PASSWD will be the associated password. For more information on Lynx parameters, you may wish to refer to the man page for it at http://linux.die.net/man/1/lynx -
Hi, If it is happening intermittently, I would suspect a mod_security rule is being triggered by the data being POST'ed to cart.php. If you are using Apache, try running a grep for "cart.php" against the error_log file and it should (hopefully) reveal what is causing the 403 error and you can then work to resolve it.

Does WHMCS 5.0.3 still require register globals to be on
Lawrence replied to djkimmel's topic in Using WHMCS
I can confirm that WHMCS does not require register_globals to be enabled, and it should left off (or disabled if on) -
An upgrade is likely the best option. Without knowing more about how that addon works, it may depend on action hooks that have been added since the release of 4.2 for full functionality. If in doubt, I would suggest contacting the author for assistance.

I wish you the best of luck in any legal actions that you engage in. Hopefully any wrongdoings will be corrected

Sorry if I wasn't clear. What I meant was that only the "Enable HTTP Authentication" setting may need to be on. I run several servers with those settings as I provided, with no issues with logins from WHMCS 5.0

You may be best served by posting a request in the Marketplace forum and asking for a quote on a custom registrar module.

Google Analytics is not the same thing unfortunately. It is simply HTML code that you include in your pages directly. If it goes down, some browsers may not display the page properly or take longer than normal to display it as they wait for a response for the JavaScripts being linked to.
-
I think you meant to say "On" for all of those settings instead of "Off", as using off for "Enable HTTP Authentication" will cause login issues from the client area. Setting the other 3 to On will improve security, while only "Enable HTTP Authentication" could adversely affect it.

That would suggest that something is preventing the database backup from being generated successfully. I would suggest checking that you have the following PHP settings set as follows max_execution_time to 300 or more memory_limit to 128M or more

PLESK 10.4.4 kills delayed apache restart again
Lawrence replied to tkalfaoglu's topic in Using WHMCS
It may be best to contact your hosting provider or server administrator for support. They would be able to reconfigure Plesk to do a graceful restart, which should fix this issue for you. -
That's not what you said originally. You said that you cannot *apply* AVS to credit card payments, which means that you cannot use AVS when accepting payments. That is false. However, I did agree that it would be a good feature to be able to decline cards that do not support AVS. Section 15 is news to me as well. I don't see how it would stand up in a court if you have your original documentation that makes no mention of a term commitment. Slander is "the communication of a statement that makes a claim, expressly stated or implied to be factual, that may give an individual, business, product, group, government, or nation a negative image." Unless there is clear evidence, your claims against IS are slanderous.

Myminecraft.eu Trying to Commit Fraud
Lawrence replied to WebsiteIntegrations's topic in General Discussion
Sadly, we too have now experienced a similar issue to the OP with this individual. He ordered the Auto Currency addon from us, filed a cancellation notice stating it worked on only one of 2 sites. We contacted him and turns out he was using some sort of proxy setup that changed the REMOTE_ADDR variable to an internal IP and put the real IP into another variable. We provided a fixed version yesterday that resolves his original issue. Less than an hour ago, we get a notification from PayPal that he has filed a claim for an unauthorized payment. People like this individual are why we are strongly considering switching all of our addons to a license-based system like others use. -
Here are your arguments again. Your words in quotes and mine immediately after. 1) "Another thing to mention is that InternetSercure isnt secure at all, unlike most merchants they declined customers the option to apply AVS Support to avoid fraud payments." - False. AVS support can be enabled on an account via the merchant area. They allow you to do partial or full AVS verification. You can verify the CVN and reject based on that as well, in addition to allowing payment rejection based on GeoIP and country. 2) "beware that if you sign with internetsecure.com it is a 3 year contract that isnt specified on the contract" - False. Contracts are month to month. I am looking at mine at this very moment in fact. Nowhere does it mention a 3 year commitment. 3) "Internetsecure.com doesnt allow you to "opt out" of accepting "Non Avs Supported Credit Cards" this in return renders Maxmind useless." - I agree it would be a good feature to decline cards without AVS automatically. On the other hand, a good portion of credit card issuers don't support AVS and you would be losing sales that way. Also, all Maxmind checks are normally done *before* sending to the payment processor and will block 99% of potential fraud on it's own. 4) "These guys are true scammers. After i set them up with my bank they completely cleaned it out and stole funds. They took all my personal information and blackmailing me with it" - Claim with no proof, can be considered slander. Public opinion and slander are 2 very different things. Opinion is when you have provided proof, slander is when you have not. It's just you and you alone here. Notice how nobody agreed with you or had the same experience you claim to have had? I am done explaining the obvious to you. It's clear you are not interested in facts and information that even a "communist" can grasp

As I suggested before, if they wronged you, you should contact a lawyer. Complaining on a forum without any evidence will not do any good.

Please provide *one* example where I contradicted something I said previously in this thread I'm sorry if you have difficulty understanding what I am saying, but I'm not a smart hypocrite. I'm just explaining some things to you that you clearly do not understand. The poorly veiled personal attacks referred to were the last sentence in your previous reply (pasted below), and your statements that anyone who disagrees with you using facts and knowledge is "extremely confused" "I understand that human nature will force you to reply and if you do so please do it in a competent way. Thanks.. " I have no knowledge of who the person you are referring to is, nor do I care. All I am doing is correcting misinformation and defending a company where there is no evidence of any wrongdoing. A quick Google indicates one complaint in 2012, posted within a few days of this thread (likely by you). The last complaint before that is dated nearly 4 years ago. If they were crooks as you claim, common sense would say that there would be more than one complaint in 4 years, would it not? Please point out the other points you have made? Ie. not disproved by facts or common sense. There has been 1.

Not sure what you are referring to by the endsupport/config.php file, but to configure Google Apps for your support departments, you would use the following instructions http://docs.whmcs.com/Email_Piping:_Google_Apps
