WHMCS Live RELEASED!!

Recommended Posts

If you've got a blank page, it's because there is a mistake in a language file. I had this issue to.

I works fine with the english version, but with the french one I had a blank page (no language field)

I hope this will help you.

Regards,

Michel

Hi, I made a mistake, edited .txt-file with normal editor and wordpad. It produces errors in .php - there are threads in the internet. I edited files with notpad2 and text was showing up in addon-backend.

I have two problems now - 1 error in console (backend)

Warning: in_array() [function.in-array]: Wrong datatype for second argument in /var/www/vhosts/domain.net/httpdocs/billing/modules/admin/live/console.php on line 474

and I can`t get the frontend working - somehow it doesn`t show the Image from WHMCS-Live; I tried it on different ways, but didn`t come to success yet. Are there any implementation tips and tricks for that. I use Joomla too - configured a js/php-Module and insert code. It seems as tracking is ok (with error above), but the live-image od live-text isn`t showing up.

Thank you for helping, as the answers of the producer are 6 words long and not helping me in any way. The support of the support-addon is really poor; 1 day -> 1 ticket & not really helpfull.

Finally I entered the right URL in txt.-file; would be good to note this in readme too. But it`s not showing up. No image & text. :(

Well, I think this module is suppose to works within WHMCS and not outside as it use WHMCS config and system template (Smarty)

This is a feature that Sparky will have to add in a near future. Did you try to put this within your WHMCS template and use it in WHMCS ? Does it work ?

Just wanted to comment that I've installed the program on a CentOS system with no issues and I'm fairly happy with how the program currently works. I'd like to see the ablity for other departments to be displayed (even if the user is not logged in) but that will come in time I'm sure.

It's still a program very much in development stages, but so far I've been happy with what I've seen.

I'd like to see more positive/negative points about the program rather than rants about personal issues with developers etc. I"m anxious to see the new releases, but for those that complain about this and that, feel free to program your own version to which we can then download use and either praise or complain about. The program is a very inexpensive program, so if you can make a better one, feel free to charge more, maybe I'll buy your one too!

Keep up the work TJ - hope to see new stuff in the near future.

Finally it run, but only in WHMCS folder (=subfolder). I don`t know why, because I`m sure I tried this settings 5 times, but it work. I have an error left now, but the whmcslive-dev. said that it is coming from having a few versions earlier php-version. I will update it and will report again, what happens.

My way to goal - I think, maybe this is because I have JWHMCS installed too & WHMCS in a subfolder of the root-folder.

1. After adding Language to .txt-file - look for the two lines with the path. Correct them and have a look if it run.

2. In readme there is documented that you have to put initiade-embabed code in to footer or header.

-> It seems that this will not work with JWHMCS. I also tried to input it several ways in Joomla, but without success (custom-code-module, direct in template, ....).

My solution:

1. Initiate embabed-code has to be after the insert-code from addon-admin (=code what calls image or text & tracking code).

2. insert this into homepage.tpl and it will work

Cons:

It works only on WHMCS-site - clientarea.php :-(

Anybody has suggestion how to make it run in Joomla. Or in all site of WHMCS - as header.tpl & footer.tpl are not working. It seems that this two files are completely overwritten by Joomla ones. This is good, as we want this for our site = same style & integration via JWHMCS-bridge.

And now the worst again -> Can`t get WHMCS-Live running in J1.5 (root-folder). WHMCS=subfolder. So it only appears on clientarea.php without manual adding to every site. This is not a good solution at, for people what use a CMS, like Joomla & having WHMCS in a subfolder installed.

Thanks for sharing infos on that or ways how to solve it!

I am having problems with this, even tho I am signed in and on the live support console it shows up as "live support offline" to the users. Can someone please help me!!! :)

First make sure you're assigned to a visible department. This means that if your department is only visible to logged in clients than you must be logged in for it to show online :)

I've tested and successfully embedded the status icons/text outside of the WHMCS directory and even on external domains/servers. At the moment I don't see the embed code on your site(other than in WHMCS). All you have to do is paste the code given in the admin module's first page. :)

Loving this program so far - no problems to report at all:

A couple of extra feature requests I think would be useful from my limited use:

> Notify when client closes window if possible. Usually they close rather than ending the chat, and then the operator isn't sure whether they can end the chat at all.

> If an operator ends a chat and the client has closed the window, when the client reopens the window it shows the same chat which has ended and does not work.

> Ignore or Mute certain IPs - It would be good if the staff didn't show up when they browsed the site, or just if it didn't bleep when they did.

Dont be silly you wont get a responce for about another month via email :)

Hmm, looks like downloading that 7-day trial was a complete waste of time then as the license will expire before he gets back to me by email! It's already been 4 days. Talk about poor customer service, especially when it's Sales related! - his loss.

I'll extend your trial as needed, but keep in mind that it's best to submit requests via a ticket rather than my personal email or PM as tickets take first priority :)

@gs-liam, myself and I'm sure others would appreciate it if you refrained from making nonconstructive posts.

That's exactly what I did!

1 Ticket sent to you via your Fiber Elephant website

1 Message to you through WHMCS Forums

3 Emails via WHMCS Live!

Must be that addictive game on XBox for you to not be replying to support/sales emails within 72 hours...

That's strange. My records show you ordering the trial less than 2 days before..

TJ seems to be ignoring my emails again.

Asked for this module to be working a week ago and I'm still left without a Live Chat solution.

I'm sorry it seemed that way, but I am a bit confused.. You do realize that you ordered a free trial?

Although I'd love for you to be able to try it, hence why I help those with trials even though support isn't technically included. But the point of a trial is if it doesn't fit your needs you haven't lost anything.

As I mentioned earlier, the correct channel for support is to submit a ticket. Looking at your account now and unfortunately it still indicates that you've never opened a ticket.

Although occasionally someone skips a step and needs help, most are able to install WHMCS Live without issues in a few minutes. I have installed it for a few, which I have no problem doing for free, but unfortunately I can only do so much, especially on free trial accounts.

Also, although I was able to upload all files correctly for you last week, you did not grant access needed to complete the install, and at that point there's not much I can do for you without access :(

Once again please consider and note that my "personal" email is not the correct channel for support and if you simply submit a ticket the response will be swift.
