Ashley
Hello, Just seen the announcement post and I think one word sums it up: WOW! Some of the new stuff sounds fantastic and I can't wait to get started with it [goes off to upgrade!] Ashley

WHMCS CEO Matt Posted August 26, 2009 WHMCS CEO Share Posted August 26, 2009 There's an explanation of changes & new features @ http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?p=119980#post119980 and a list of the changed template files in the 4.1 Release Notes @ http://wiki.whmcs.com/Version_4.1_Release_Notes#Template_Changes Matt
XN-Matt
Hi Matt, Noted. I just expected them in the normal changelog within the package. Matt
WebzPro
Overall the new features and fixes look great. I do have one question on the below. "Credit Card Handling – new options have been added to disable credit card storage for those who want to process payments and discard the card information rather than storing for automated rebilling in future and allowing the customer to delete their credit card and/or choose whether to store the card they enter" Is this admin controlled? Maybe I am not reading this correctly I would gather this is an option controlled by the admin to give the customer that option or not.
drbob
I only see up to WHMCS V4.0.2 Stable Release
XN-Matt
Are you on a lease or full? or trial? I can see it on both our full and leased licences.

XN-Matt
That might be why. I suspect that you need a direct paid one to get the beta at this stage.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted August 26, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted August 26, 2009 Overall the new features and fixes look great. I do have one question on the below. Maybe I am not reading this correctly I would gather this is an option controlled by the admin to give the customer that option or not. Yes, 2 seperate settings, 1 as a system-wide admin setting to never store cards and the other to give the customer the option to save their card or not.
Lawrence
I love the idea of overage billing. Won't be implementing it till its been tested and proven stable, but god love Matt and co.
equipc
I'm very happy to see that some features I needed are implemented into this version of WHMCS ... I will test the new version soon ...
ChrisGooding
Yep, absolutely fantastic release guys, you always manage to astound us Some very welcome aspects to the support side of things, though still looks like replies to tickets by admins aren't sent to admins, it is pretty much the one think lacking. HOWEVER, from the quick read I have just made of the changes, there could be some ways to put a workaround in now at least, I'll have to get my hands on it and play. Bravo, just Bravo

HostOrca
I really like the server groups option, as I do UK and US hosting this will help a lot, especially with automation.
herpherp
We are excited as well for the upgrade, Many incredibly useful features have been added and without the dev tracker, they came as a surprise, I feel like it's almost my Birthday. Anyone utilizing the Beta yet? Has the upgrade gone smooth? Alot of template file changes? Edited August 27, 2009 by herpherp
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted August 27, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted August 27, 2009 The upgrade was smooth on my development install. Feedback so far from those which have installed the beta has been positive with no major issues reported but it is still only beta so not recommended for production environments.
Redundant
The Client Files feature is just plain great. Can't wait to get my hands on the Stable and get it implemented ... Thanks for getting that in there folks!
MACscr
Are beta's upgradeable to stable?
thehost5968
some time but probable not as some bug will need to get sorted out. So I would say no.
Speedy059
Looks great, can't wait to upgrade our WHMCS when it's stable. Important to give the client(s) the option to remove their CC instead of contacting us. This will cut back on some tickets!
directiz
Ya how stable is the beta so far guys?
openmind
some time but probable not as some bug will need to get sorted out. So I would say no. Be the first time I would have come across a beta that couldn't be upgraded to stable if that was the case. Normally it is only pre-release alphas that occasionally require a full re-install.
