Whooops, thanks for the links :) :)

Out of interest, when you mention 100USD is this the minimum credit required to begin selling domains through eNom? And does this mean I need to keep adding credit to ensure sufficient funds for my clients?

Sorry, very nubie questions I know...

Thanks

Lea

Yes,

the 100 is a reserve,

once it gets low you will need to refill it....

as for the person saying it isnt free what did you excpect, whmcs to pay for your domains?

I was just pointing out the fact that WHMCS quote

Free Enom/ResellerClub Reseller Account

To help you take full advantage of the automation WHMCS has to offer, we have teamed up with the two leading domain registration companies to offer our clients great deals on their services! By signing up through us, you get to take advantage of no minimum deposits or setup fees and pricing levels which you would only get after depositing hundreds of dollars with them directly.

but with Enom before you can sell domains etc. through them you need to deposit with them a minimum deposit of $100 USD and not as WHMCS state "no minimum deposits" read https://www.whmcs.com/domainresellers.php

It's free in the sense that you do not need to pay to open the account in the first place.

You should take a look at Enom's direct pricing before shouting off about it not being free.

Personally, if your going to be selling domains you would want to put *at least* $100 in anyway, that's of course assuming you have the money to do these things... last thing you would want is a customer trying to reg a domain and it failing because you haven't put any funds in the account would you?

and not as WHMCS state "no minimum deposits"

sort of, it's dependant on your sales-method (if using registry rocket you dont prefund your account) or credit-method (bank transfer has no minimum)

however for *most* users, you'll need to stump up $100 *min* each time you want to credit the account, which gets you ~$97 in spendable funds ...

the accounts are "free" as in you're not paying a fee to get one - like GoShoddy/WWD which is $199 or whatever ...

They have a bank wire option as well, but it takes a bit longer.

Look at if this way: You pre-fill the account with $100+ (I normally do a few hundred at a time) which then gives you credit to instantly register domains - i.e. automate it completely. If it wasn't like that, then you had to manually pay the domain registration every time a client put in an order

Domains are more a sunken cost. You need to add this service for your clients.

You can`t expect to earn from domains if you`re doing hosting. The most that you can earn from selling domains to your clients is the Paypal fee for the purchase. If you want to earn from domains, you gotta find a real low competitor, and signup with them, but without investing for big discounts, that`s a pure dream.

Even if you find one with real cheap prices, I doubt they`re as good as Enom or Directi etc., or will provide APIs like they do.

On average I fund the domain reseller at least $100 per week, which seems fair. If you`re doing hosting and $100 is not an option, you have to rethink your game plan.

You`re getting back the money one way or the other.

beware the Free Enom Reseller Account is NOT free. It may be free to register and sign up, and without setup fee, but you can only top up your enom account with a minimum $100 at a time when using paypal
So you expect to get the domains, SSL certs or other products eNom offers without paying a single cent for it?

Matt is right, and sadly I am one of the people who signed up to eNom which cost me $95 just for the account - shame I didn't find out about WHMCS sooner or I would of saved this straight away!

Don't delay - get your eNom account through WHMCS today! (or tomorrow, whatever suits you best ;))
