Error processing cards (stripe) WHMCS 8.13.5 -

Hi

Recently we have noticed some customers cards failing to process with the following error in the debug log.

Status => error
Decline Reason => The system could not verify the payment authorization. Reload the page and try again.
error => The system could not verify the payment authorization. Reload the page and try again.

When i check stripe, there is no evidence of an attempted transaction, so it seems like its failing before getting to stripe.

I have checked by API keys (rotated) - all good - and some customers cards process ok.

Has anyone else noticed this error?

Yes, I saw this also.  Eventually it cleared on it's own and the retry went through. Seemed isolated to one client only, on a stored (at Stripe)  card.

WHMC replied to my ticket with a hotpatch and a note that it was a known problem - However, it doesn't appear to have worked. I am waiting for a response now.

When it cleared for me I assumed it was likely a connection issue, but if it's being patched, did they say what's up?

The hotpatch supplied doesnt seem to work. They didnt tell me anything more than it was a known issue, WHMCS-27204

Be great if there was a public facing way of seeing what those case numbers are. I have at least one I'd like to be able to track, but they don't. They could limit it to license holders if it's a concern over the public or something. Shame.
