How to reactivate MarketConnect products deleted accidentally

Hello there

Ho can i restore market-connect products deleted from products, more specially add SiteLock and SSL.
I do believe that I deleted SSL and Site-lock products and group products thinking that I only needed that as a addon, but i was wrongย ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

So now i intend to add them again, so I tried this:

Deactivating and reactivate again, but it only re-create PRODUCT GROUP, not product it self.

I can not add them manually, because those products should be linked to Market-connect and can edit them manually

restoring the tblproducts table from a database backup might well be the safest bet... especially if you have already sold these MC products as products to existing customers.

I don't know if deleting these MC products would have removed their pricing from tblpricing too... possibly if it did, just restoring tblproducts and de/reactivating might pull the latest prices again... otherwise, you might need to restore tblpricing too.

if you can't restore tblproducts from a backup, it might be worth opening a ticket with support about this... my concern would be that if you have sold these products as products, there will be references to them in tblhosting that will now not be correct.

Just a quick update. I have been able to fix this issue my self. While I spend all day with WHMCS support and also with my hosting provider support trying to fix it by deactivating SQL strict mode, that did not shows to be a easiest way, nor fastest one too to fix this issue.

So, after all tests during troubleshooting with those 2 supportsย Team... I started thinking (These guys do not know what level of mess I usually doย ๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜…).

At this point I start my onw trobleshooting.

I activated Marketconnect on my DEV on fresh install and watch how that process activated and deactivate do. Go to phpmyAdminย and compare all tblproducts itens named marketconnect compare what I have on DEV and on my production, and here are the answers WHAT A MESS, duplicated tables, they were not together as I deleted some at sometime years before.

So was easy for me to decide what to try to fix it.

1 - Double check all Marketconnect products price on Setup>Marketconnect>(SSL Certificates, SiteLock, Codeguard, SpamExperts, VPN...) note all prices!
2 - Navigate to PhpMyAdmin on database and find tblproduts, Crtl F to make a quicksearch on name marketconnectย 
3 - Select all Marketconnect products at once and delete all;
4 - Navigate to tdladdons and once again delete all marketconnect addons;
5 - Go to WHMCS admin>Setup>Produts addon> Verify if they are deleted from admin, at this time there is noting relating marketconnect.ย ๐Ÿ‘
6 - Now go to Setup>Products and there is no products related to marketconnect but those products groups still there (Once again delete it all).
7 - Go to Setup>Marketconnect and DEACTIVATE and ACTIVATE again all products

And everything works as expected at this timeย โ˜บ๏ธ

Finally just need to update those prices, to my own.

PS: These mess ad duplicated tbls occurs at the beginning when I start using WHMCS and learning, so I have been able to fix all of them now, and have a fresh setup now.ย ๐Ÿ˜‡

Everything is working fine!!!!!

Deleting those tables also deletes marketgoo seo activated recently on test, but at the end it was a test and will expire soon, so will add new order. So this mean if you have a lot active order on Marketconnect, do not delete. But in my specific case, it is like marketconnect was on TEST until now, so will start it as LIVE mode, and do not need to cross finger expecting if any url there would work or module fail due those duplicate tbls.

out of curiosity, when MC restored these products in tblproducts, did they have the same ID values in tblproducts as they previously had or where they given different (later) id values ? if you don't know, then no worries.

New ID. That is why I flagged that DELETING is not the best way probably to fix this issue, but in my specific case, I could go ahead because only one client has MC products activated, and was myself, otherwise it could bring more trouble, because client will not BE ABLE TO ACCESS those product again from client-area (deleting will remove it from client area).

I have started using WHMCS not for hosting purposes, so at the beginning I have deleting some MarketConnect products, to leave system more clean, and with that it brings trouble.

Until now, I have been testing these products my self, to understand them before sold out to clients, so was not a difficult decision to DELETE and reactivate again.

My opinion now is that DELETING is not the best choise, but for me it was an option, because only me know exactly what kind of mess I did at the past testing these products (PS: when I start using WHMCS I did not have DEV license, and also did not know that DEV license exists, year later @brian!ย flag that on a community and I stopped using my main WHMCS for testing). So Having a fress MC activated from scratch sounds fine for me).

Hope with this WHMCS support that are specialist will find and improve a better way to fix a kind of issue like this when other new users made a mess and ask for support.๐Ÿ˜…

I suspect as with other non-MC products, if a client had been using one of these products, then it would have warned you before deleting - and the fact it didn't, means that nobody was.

you'd only be removing a few rows from a couple of tables - as you have found, it's not worth deleting them unless you know that you have never use them, and deficiently won't again in the future... it's easier to leave them there.

the lesson is to never delete in WHMCS unless you know it can be recovered if required.

Another update, after contacting WHMCS Marketplace Support today, they were able to reconstruct all those integrations again that I have deleted, so now WE ARE GOOD...NO LOSS, The way Marketplace Advisor did it it looks easy ๐Ÿ™„..now I have I fresh marketplace installed working with no FAIL, and all data I deleted for fixing issue were added again.ย ๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜‡

Life-story:

"3 professional system administrator (ISP, client, Advisor) are troubleshooting hard trying to find why network-communication has some ports blocked and can not work, after hours, noting result...and them someone, says why not trying just reboot routerย ๐Ÿ˜ณ..."
