Disk Usage showing "0 MB" only for admin, in back end

Hi all. We recently upgraded to the latest version of WHMCS, and since that upgrade, we lost the ability to see the user's Disk Usage at the top of the Products/Services page.   I've attached a screen shot so you can see what I'm referring to.

Of note:

  1. The top of the page says "Disk Usage: 0MB" and next to it, it shows "Last Updated: ___" with a date and time that is within the last few minutes, as if it had a recent update, but got no data?
  2. The customer can see their disk and bandwidth stats fine when they are logged into their account in WHMCS and managing their hosting account.
  3. If I scroll down to the bottom of the Product/Services record, where the new Metric Statistics are, and click Refresh Now, the correct Disk Usage shows there but does not update the top of the page (still says 0MB).
  4. If I run Reports > Disk Usage Summary, the report runs quickly and accurately, and customer disk space data is showing just fine.
  5. I've checked the Utilities > Logs > Activity Log and there seems to be nothing interesting.
  6. The Disk Usage data was working fine, prior to updating to WHMCS.  We upgraded from 7.6 to 7.9.

I'm all ears on what else I might check.  We find that Disk Usage info very handy to display at the top of the page.

I think that Last Updated timestamp value is definitely a bug - it seems to be using the current date & time, e.g if you refresh the page, that time will change - and so it's not related to when the cron was last run.

it updated for me, but I can't recall if I needed to refresh the page before it got updated as per your screenshot location...

there are already 3 hotfixes for v7.9.1 - one of them mentions server stats usage automation tasks not completing, but if you're not seeing issues in the logs, and if the clients are seeing the actual stats, then it possibly won't be immediately relevant to you.

Hi @ScottN,

We've recently had this behaviour reported to us, and it has been logged with the case number CORE-14274 for resolution in an upcoming matinance release.

In the meantime, this can be worked-around by:

  • Navigating to Setup > products/Services > Products/Services > Edit > Module Settings tab.
  • Activate the Metric Items for the prodduct affected,
  • Click Save Changes
  • Then deactivate the Metric Items again
