Hello there

I have  some tasks  internally  in our company under my responsibility to   be done (every month, and  others   six to six months   and others   once a year). I want WHMCS to remember me or  chosen staff,   before due date of those tasks. What is the best approach do handle this on WHMCS.

1 - Native WHMCS To-do   List
2 -   Email Marketer
3-   Project   Management
4-   Create a product   or service   and assign it with fake  NAME  😭
5-  Find out   modules   on market place

Examples of   needs:

-There is   a  fire extinguisher   to be inspected   once a year  and proceed with recharge it.
-There is   remote pré-paid SIM CARD  for cellphones, GPS system, etc, to be    recharged   credits
-etc

So like WHMCS are powerful with billing and invoice automation,   I was thinking it such idea can be cary out .   I want WHMCS to   send  alert emails   some days before,  3 days before and after due date if that task did not marked as complete.

Hi @zitu4life

  • Native WHMCS To-do   List
    • This is a good option, however you would need to manually create the task each time you complete the last one, we presently don't have a way to create a recurring task unless it is a product/service using the auto-release module
  • Email Marketer
    • This would require a client account/Product service so probably not ideal
  • Project   Management
    • Again,  This is a good option, however you would need to manually create the task each time you complete the last one, we presently don't have a way to create a recurring task
  • Create a product   or service   and assign it with fake  NAME  😭
    • Definitely an option but could get messy!  You could use the Auto Release module thou to have it add a task to the To-Do list
  • Find out   modules   on market place
    • Took a quick look on the marketplace and couldn't find a module for this you might have better luck thou!

Many thanks   @Kian and  @WHMCS ChrisD

Using   Project   manager  (as I usually  use it every day and also I think it is more powerful compared to to-do list)    or google calendar (as my business email is from Gsuite) looks to be those 2    best option,   will make  some test with both.

Hope in future WHMCS could   create   a way to deal   recurring   tasks directly.😀

7. WHMCS Calendar - that can have recurring events (weeks/months/years etc)... though no automated emails are generated and there is no longer the calendar widget on the homepage (though the old calendar widget still works if you copy it from an older install).

you could probably write a hook to convert them to todos/emails etc.

I can see a possible solution in Marketplace, but i'd go along with Kian on this and do it outside of WHMCS if you can.
