twhiting9275
Please bring back the old information pages, at least until you get them all copied over into developers. It's rather disturbing to go in, expecting to find something that should be there, not actually there. Case in point... Hook ClientAreaPage , it still exists, it was documented on the other site (still is, thankfully), but this has not been moved over to the new site (try searching for it). I'm sure this is not the only one, but the point is that this stuff should, in it's entirety, be moved over before calling a site 'live'. this should be thoroughly tested and verified. New is good, but as the saying goes... If it aint broke, don't fix it. Now, it's definitely broken, where it wasn't before.

WHMCS Technical Analyst WHMCS Edward Posted January 11, 2017 WHMCS Technical Analyst Share Posted January 11, 2017 Hey Tom, The omission of the ClientAreaPage hook was an oversight. Our team will have it updated and available in the new portal shortly. -Eddy
twhiting9275
Yes, but how many other 'oversights' were there? All I'm saying is that this stuff needs to be returned to how it was, until this can all be verified that everything is there. People rely on this information pretty heavily
brian!
I've looped the team in that look after this. there's a "team" responsible for that? Yes, but how many other 'oversights' were there? All I'm saying is that this stuff needs to be returned to how it was, until this can all be verified that everything is there. People rely on this information pretty heavily out of curiosity, I looked at the Google cached version of the old Hooks Index and compared it to the new one.... old site listed 220+ action hooks (NOT including the deprecated ones in red); new site lists over 150... where are the other 70? deprecated? forgotten?? i'm not even convinced the old list was definitive as I can recall John mentioning one or two in previous posts that weren't on the list.
twhiting9275
I know there's a few that needed updated, but at least the old site was easy to access. I'm just saying, people use this information quite consistently. Taking it down before ensuring it's moved over is just bad form.
WHMCS Technical Analyst WHMCS Edward Posted January 18, 2017 WHMCS Technical Analyst Share Posted January 18, 2017 By way of an update, the missing ClientAreaPage hook has now been added to the new documentation at http://developers.whmcs.com/hooks-reference/client-area-interface/#clientareapage The reason for the difference in count of action hooks on the new site was the missing ClientAreaPage hooks and the grouping of the Pre and Post module related hook points. These have now been expanded and each hook point documented with it's own entry for clarity. If you spot any further issues, please be sure to let us know. -Eddy
