Enabling monthly breakdown for specific product groups

I know in general settings/ordering you can enable the monthly breakdown. However, the issue with this is that when you enable this feature it also breaksdown annual products like SSL Certificates.

 

Is there a way to only enable only certain product group items and not others. I have been unable to find a solution to this. Was hoping someone has figured this out and can lend a hand.

there'll be no way from the settings to do it - you're going to be looking at doing some customisation via either action hooks or by editing the Smarty templates.

 

exactly what to do will depend on your template choice, where you want to show the breakdowns - and whether it's easier to have breakdown enabled and code around it for certain product groups, or do the opposite and have the feature disabled and then code the breakdown for specific groups.

 

if memory serves, from a programming view, I think it's easier to have it disabled and then code the breakdown rather than trying to work backwards from already broken down figures.
